Chapter 11 ‹Sing and dance›

"This is (y/n) guys. She's from Sato and my class. She's covering for Miki." Ashido said pushing me slightly forward to introduce myself to the two extra people.

"Hi." I smiled and the girl holding the drum sticks squinted her eyes at me.

"Can you sing?" She spoke up starting to inspect me as if I was something to eat.

"Yes." What else was I going to say? If I said no she might rip my head off.

"Well..." She swung her arm in the air holding the drum sticks stopping inches from my face. I didn't flinch surprisingly. "Let's see what you've got. " The drummer got hit on the side of the head.

"Kia quit being a creep!" The other girl said making Kia hold her head.

"Hey, that hurt Hinata!" The girl crouched to the floor tearing up slightly.

"Sorry about her. Kia likes to think we're some sort of heavy metal band only excepting one of our kind."

"We would but if all of you weren't pussies!" The girl shouted jumping up only to get hit on the side of the head.

"NO, we're not allowed to play that kind of music on school grounds!" Hinata shouted back stomping her foot near Kia who was on the floor again. "Anyways. I'm Hinata the lead guitarist and this is Kia the drummer as you may have guessed." We shook hands and Kia got off the floor.

"What do you guys play?" I asked Ashido and Sato.

"Oh, you don't know? I play backing guitarist and Sato here plays bass guitar." I made an ohh shape with my mouth.

"Right girls let's quickly set up and we'll try with the vocals."

We practised both at lunchtime and after school. I was told to rest my voice for the rest of the day. The good thing was that the girls loved my voice meaning I have less to worry about. Now there was just the fact that I was singing in front of the whole school to worry about. Sighing in the hot bath I tried to relax, it was only two songs and this was a one-time thing meaning if something bad did happen everyone would forget after a while..... Right. Damn it!! I jumped up in the bath going over to grab the towel I set out followed by wrapping it around my hair. Stop it (y/n)! Think happy thoughts. This is so stressful. My phone went off so I grabbed it.  Kyo? Why is he calling me? Answering I heard a lot of shouting.

"Oh hello (y/n), just calling to check on you. Kyo's been moping around all day." It was Shigure.

"No, I have not. Now give me my phone!"I giggled a little. 

"Good to hear you're doing well." I haven't gotten to talk with any of them in the past two days. It's nice to hear their voices.

"I don't think so, I'm having a lovely conversation with (Y/N) about the crush you have on her." My cheeks went red and I jumped slightly in the bath. 

"Give me my damn phone!" The line went silent. I sighed. At least that calmed me down a little.

I'd just arrived at school and was changing over my shoes.

"Oh (y/N)." Tohru called out my name when seeing me. She was with Yuki and Kyo as always on there walk to school. 

"Hi, Tohru." I smiled shutting my locker. 

"(Y/n) you made it!" Ashido came from nowhere grabbing my arm. 

"Come on class is about to start." Sato grinned grabbing my other arm. The two have become quite clingy over the past two days. They must be excited. 

"I uh see you later Torhu." I tried looking behind me and waved smiling at the three of them before we managed to go around the corner. 

"Do you know that girl (Y/N)?" Ashido asked walking next to me. 

"Well, she did call her by name idiot." Sato breathed getting hit on the side of the head. 

"haha yeah, I hang out with her most lunchtimes along with some of her classmates." I smiled.

"Prince Yuki too?!" I smiled nodding my head making both the girls swoon while my eyes rolled a little.

The performance was at lunchtime in the gym, the girls got the all-clear from the principal just less than a month ago. 

"Right girls, we're gonna be tough, we're gonna be loud...." Kia was stopped by Hinata who put a hand over her mouth.

"You're gonna shut up." She grinned ruffling up her hair. I looked out to the audience and sighed. That's a lot of people.

"It's a big turn out." Sato breathed before giggling. "I'm happy about that."

"Well, you did post all those fliers the other day," Hinata spoke taking her hand off Kia's mouth and the girl gasped. 

"Oh my god, I thought I was going to die." Kia panted gasping for air and falling to the floor. I giggled a little. 

"It's called breathing out of your nose idiot. Now, lets set up." The four girls went out first and turned everything for two or so minutes. 

"(Y/N)." Sato whispered gesturing me to come on stage. Well, this is where my life ends. Walking up on stage the crowd went silent before whispers spread. People wondering who I was. Kia counted us in and then the girls started playing.

Partway through I noticed Kyo by the doors of the gym. He just stared at me, seemingly confused. I tried hard to keep focused.

"That was amazing guys we did so well." Hinata cheered making us all go into a group hug. 

"You were incredible (y/n) it was like you'd do this a thousand times." Ashido grabbed pulling me into another hug.

"Let's go out tonight to celebrate!" Kia grinned fist-pumping the air.

"I can't sorry guys." I weakly smiled and they all turned to me.

"Why not (Y/n)-chan." Ashido pouted leaning onto my side almost making both of us fall.

"I've got work." 

"Then how about over the weekend. We can spend more time together that way." I nodded my head smiling at the four of them.

"I'll see you all then. I just need to do something." I walked off needing to find Tohru and the others. "Wonder where they'd be."

"(Y/n)!" I heard a shout and it was Arisa, Tohru and Saki. "You have the voice of an angel." They sniffed as they hugged me tightly.

"Oh, you saw that." I blushed rubbing the back of my neck.

"It was very wonderful." Yuki smiled standing behind the girls with Kyo who didn't say anything.

"I didn't know you could sing like that or that you were in a band!" Tohru smiled and I shook my head.

"This was a one-time thing. They needed my help." The three of them kept saying I should join but it would be a big commitment. I don't know if it's what I want to spend all my time on.
