10 - attack

in mere moments, we disappeared from sight, and i spread my mist into the forest. the katana in my hands was pointed toward the attacker, who was looking around for us, "come back... i know that you're still here...."

placing my hand over todoroki's mouth, i changed the mist to knock out the attacker, but nothing happened.

he... isn't breathing???

nevermind that then, i changed the mist back to normal and let go of todoroki's mouth with a frown.

just then, i could hear mandalay's voice in my head, "attention ua students! we are under attack! the villains have two targets, (l/n) and kacchan! eraserhead gives you permission to use your quirks, but only in self defense! (l/n) and kacchan, please come back to the camp and avoid fighting at all costs!"

i froze upon hearing my name, and todoroki glanced at me, worried. shaking my head, i focused back on the hungry psychopath in front of us. "where aRE YOU?!?!?!!?" he started freaking out, shooting, uhm teeth? everywhere around us.

the half and half boy created an ice barrier around us before the teeth could pierce one of us, giving away our location but ensuring our safety.

"i can use my kunais and katana, do you think you could target his feet and face to restrict his movement?" i tried to formulate a plan for when the ice would break on us.

todoroki took the unconscious 1-b boy off of my back and placed him in his own, "that should work. stay low, don't get hurt."

the ice above us started to crack as the villain was attacking us with his teeth. the taller teen used his fire to create two holes in the ice for us to escape out of, and we jumped into action, kumoya (summoning kunais from the mist)

at that moment, the dome we were previously in cracked, and the peppermint boy sent ice directly at the attacker's feet and face.

he turned to face the incoming ice, and i quickly threw the blades at his joints and critical points.

they stuck in his body like needles, but our attention was soon drawn to a panicked voice in the distance. "todoroki!!!! we need your fire to stop dark shadow!!!"

the mentioned boy glanced at the villain between us, and quickly created an ice wall to push him away. i grabbed his arm and quickly told him my thoughts, "wait. i think we can use dark shadow to get rid of mr teeth over here. right after, you can use your flames and calm him down."

we glanced at the rampaging shadow that was coming our direction, and he nodded.

soon enough, the two monsters clashed, dark shadow smashing the villain's teeth easily. the trees around us were crushed to smithereens, only a tiny piece of what it was before.

the villain was thrown into a tree, passing out upon impact and falling to the ground.

todoroki used his flames and dark shadow started to recede, when suddenly the other target arrived in his usually style.

yelling.

"need some help, weakling?" bakugo used his explosions, and dark shadow completely went back under tokoyami's control.

midoriya, who was on shoji's back and was beat up, was shocked at seeing the hedgehog, "kacchan?!?! where did you come from???"

i couldn't help but go to the half bird who collapsed onto his knees, creating a calming mist to help him feel a bit better while patting his back. he looked up to all of us and i could see the pain on his face, "thank you, todoroki, bakugo, and (l/n). i don't know what i would've done if you weren't there."

helping him stand back up, we all grouped up to discuss our plans. the greenette quickly laid out his idea, "we can walk in a straight line. todoroki you'll lead us, shoji and i will follow, then (l/n) and kacchan in the middle, and tokoyami in the back. that way, we will be ready for any attacks and be able to face anyone we come across!"

with little to no arguments, other than one hard headed blonde, we agreed to follow the freckled boy's plans. i couldn't help but sigh when i thought about why they would target us two specifically.

when someone with a masked figure suddenly tapped my shoulder and snapped his fingers before i could react.

the forest around me tuned into some type of blue ball that surrounded me, and the magician who captured... bakugo and tokoyami? put us all under his tongue.

what is it with these villains and their mouths?!?!

for some reason, i couldn't use my quirk, and pounding against the walls did nothing to help us escape.

it was horrible to be trapped in such a small yet suffocating place, and i felt myself start to panic a bit. breathing felt impossible since i couldn't use my quirk and was trapped in an isolated place.

my breathing hitched and my legs gave in from underneath me.

i can't do this.

let me out, please.
