Reflections

Facing the mirror,

I see you the other side,

I don't want to look at you,

If I can't break through.

You are my reflection;

You move the way I move,

Every time I take a step back you do the same,

No matter where I stand you are in the same position.

But you are not in the same place,

You are the other side of the world,

Not as far as Australia,

But that is what it feels like to me.

Why can't you come back here?

I don't want you as my reflection,

Although it helps me to sleep at night,

People say I am having hallucinations.

I don't care as long as I can see you,

It will always keep me in company,

I won't listen to their bullets,

Until you return back where you belong.

At least turn your face,

So I can look into your eyes,

I haven't looked into them since the day you left,

So turn one hundred and eighty degrees.

At least I get the figure of you,

Perhaps it doesn't show me what you look like,

Or how you have changed,

But it shows me that you are there and fine.

Now look into my eyes,

As I look into yours,

And I will stand here forever,

As long as I can see you forever more.
