I know y'all mad, I'm mad at me too😔. Chile I been busy, too much shit done been going on. Everybody dying, I'm just mehhh.

Niy POV

My leg bounced up and down as the video replayed in my head. Why my black man? God why? We were finally happy.

"I don't even know if he's alive." I croaked out.

"Niy you gotta eat sum." Shae rubbed my back.

"You think he would call? If he got arrested do you think he would call? It's a whole nother day and none of us can get in contact with them. What if they pulled those triggers?" I cried.

"I don't know what to tell you hun." Lay sighed.

I pulled out my phone letting the video replay. All that was there was Jays truck, him on the hood and officers surrounding him.

"Why would he start moving? I told him never to move." I said as the officers yelled in the background.

"I'm going down there." I stood up putting on my shoes.

"Niy you don't need to be doing all this. Jay would kill you if you caused any harm on the baby." Ari grabbed me.

"HES IN HARM! I couldn't live with myself if something happened to him and I sat here. That's the love of my life and I'll be dammed if America's fucked up ass system takes him away." I sobbed.

"But what good could you tr-YALL ITS A HOUSTON NUMBER." Lay picked up my phone.

"Hello!" I panted answering it.

"Mama, you good? Nobody bothered you right? How's my seed?" Jay ranted on the other side. I sighed in relief sitting on the arm of the sofa.

"Bae was you listening?" I heard him say.

"No no I was, keep talking baby. Are you okay?" I wiped my tears.

"Stop crying fat, I'm straight. Imma be outta here in not shit." He chuckled.

"What happ-You know I can't talk about this. Just know I'a be home by Saturday." He cut me off.

"Jay it's Wednesday, we can push it out." I rubbed my belly.

"I just told you I'll be there. Look I love you so much, stay strong fa me."

"I love you more." I smiled.

"Always & Forever." Was all I heard before the line went dead.

"Is he ok?" They asked.

"He's fine, he said he'll explain when they get back." I sighed.

"When they coming back? The reveal Saturday." Ari said.

"I don't know but I trust Jay to be back." I shrugged getting up going upstairs. I hadn't slept good at all and needed rest.

I tied my hair up and turned off the lights crawling in bed. I just had to find a dress and my day would be just fine.

"I don't know y'all... It's basic." I looked in the store mirror.

"Well remember you still need sum for your shower baby." My grandma came up behind me.

"I think you look pretty boo." Shae cooed.

"Ok this the one then." I shrugged. 

"Excuse me, we'll talk this one." Lay waved over a worker.

"This is gonna be on the pricey side ma'am." She scanned me up and down.

"Yea I know." I smiled slipping back on my clothes.
