As I drifted off to sleep on the night of my twentieth birthday, I saw the same man standing near my door smiling at me, mouthing "It's just a game."
I fell asleep, feeling a small peck against my cheek and a light whisper, "That you lose," and I knew I would wake up to my twentieth birthday once more, for the fifteenth time, if only I hadn't agreed.
