A loud thump echoed throughout Julie's room and her eyes snapped open. She slowly adjusted her eyes to her surroundings and calmed her breathing so that she can hear more clearly. The sky was a mixture of purple and scarlet and the slightly cold breeze still roamed around, clearly not wanting to rest. She heard another thump again and saw a small pebble enter through her window, crashing on her wooden floor. Hesitantly, she got up from her bed and tiptoed silently to her window. The floorboards creaked to her every step and she cursed under her breath. When she got there in the end she looked out and saw two deep green eyes looking back up at her; Blonde locks shimmered from the tiny rays of the rising sun and instantly she recognised them.
