"look, i'm sorry, but y/n, katara, and sokka aren't coming to the fire nation with us. if they got hurt, i'd never forgive myself." aang told appa, probably not knowing we were there, "so get your big butt off the ground and let's go!" he then yelled.
"i think his big butt is trying to tell you something." sokka spoke up.
"please don't go aang, the world can't afford to lose you to the fire nation, neither can i." katara said
"everyone needs you more than ever, either you don't go at all, or we come with you," i told him
"i have to talk to roku, and i'm not going to let you guys get hurt. i need to talk to him to find out what my vision means!" he cried out "i need to get to the fire temple before the sun sets on the solstice, that's today." and aang hopped on appa and appa started moving forward, but sokka, katara, and i ran in front
"we're not letting you go into the fire nation, aang." katara said
"like i said, either you don't go or we come with, and you need to talk to roku, don't worry about us, but we're coming with." i replied
"we got your back," sokka added, appa responded by licking sokka, which resulted in sokka yelling in disgust.

"it's a long journey to the crescent island, you'll have to fly fast to have any chance of making it before sundown. good luck." the man said, seriously what on earth is his name? i'm gonna call him lee. that name seems pretty common. anyway, lee handed aang some food? i have no clue what he was given.
"thank you for your-" aang started to say
"go!" lee yelled and appa flew in the air.

"what was it like in the spirit world," i asked sokka
"it was really creepy, there was nothing to eat" he complained
"that sounds like a nightmare," i said
"and there were no bathrooms," he added
"i know, you said that when you got back," i laughed.
"right, sorry. get some sleep, y/n." he said and put his hand on my shoulder.
"you too," i nodded and went to sleep

i woke up to clouds, it's still hard to believe they're actually water, the look so fluffy. i looked over the edge and saw that we are going pretty fast, but i guess we could be faster, aang yelled for appa to get faster so he did.

"aang we got trouble!" katara yelled
"i'm guessing it's prince zuko with the weirdest ponytail i've seen." i joked
"probably, and they're gaining fast." sokka screamed.

the fire nation dudes lit something on fire and it flung our way
"fire ball!" katara and i yelled in unison, aang thankfully dodged it.
"we have to get out of zuko's range before he shoots another hot stinker at us!" katara demanded
"can't you make appa go any faster?" sokka asked
"yeah, but there's just one little problem." aang said
"oh no, that's a blockade." i said
"if we fly north we can go around the fire nation ships and avoid the blockade, it's the only way." aang said
"but there isn't much time," i told him
"this is exactly why i didn't want you to come, it's to dangerous." aang yelled
"and that's why we didn't want you to go by yourself," i said
"and it's also why we're here," katara added
"let's run this blockade." sokka said confidently.
"appa, yip yip!" aang yelled and appa went a lot faster, but are you serious, more flying shit? we all screamed but appa is amazing and dodged all of them, well mostly. and what the- there are more? i don't know what but sokka flew off of appa's saddle, katara and i tried to grab him but it was too late. but we thankfully flew down to catch him, he finally came in reach and i grabbed his hand and pulled him back on.
"that was terrifying," i said, latching my pinky onto his
"i'm okay," he replied, letting go, but the universe seems to hate sokka and he got hit in the face with a fish, causing me to laugh
"this is not funny, y/n" he laughed a little bit too.
"kinda is"

one more fire ball thing came towards us and aang jumped off of appa to smash it with airbending, seemed kinda stupid, but he landed back on appa, and passed the blockade.
"we made it!" aang yelled excitedly
"we got into the fire nation, great." sokka said with his usual sarcasm.
"i have no clue what's gonna happen," i stated
"me neither, but hopefully no one gets hurt," katara replied
"we're in the fire nation." sokka whisper-yelled, in a state of shock.
