#WeAreCorbyn

Today my heart is heavy for Jeremy Corbyn,
suspended from the party, who never should have been;
a party whose centrists were selectively bribed
by back-handers to keep itself from office, who jibed
at their leader along with the vile gutter press,
cheaply and grossly abusing the very serious
charge of antisemitism agin a deep and real
concern re the treatment of Palestinians by Israel.

Jeremy, utterly anti-racist life-long, also made
a stand against the evil of the arms trade;
whereas one PM back, the Mays were paid
every time a bomb fell on Libya -
oh, hubby's missiles would tickle the rib'ya.

You think a nest of snakes so overweening
would let a bloke even begin their cleaning
out? Not a chance; and there were more cans
of worms susceptible to government bans.

All the blood-sucking parasites, maws in the flood
of public money, privatised, outsourced, would
have been salted with Socialism, dropped off
to flounder on the flats, no fate for a fat toff -
so vested interests all joined the chorus:
Jeremy Corbyn must never rule over us.

Has five stresses a line - though sounding more like William McGonagall than Browning - but maybe I will improve it later ;)
