Attuned to low fifties latitudes,
light intensities and angles,
attuned to English greenery,
to the matrix of this little garden,

sounds act like scents and trigger
legendary numinous epiphanies
and every breath itself, replete
with memory ignites a yearning.

Here mind unrolls hidden dimensions;
the weave-world* dances fantasia;
the mourner's weeds stand here
and silent be* by cephapple* tree.

To gravel hythes,  Avalon barges bring
cargo of childhood discoveries:
rusty wrench hidden in missing brick
hole made play pipe or hefty gun

now a wrench again, a key
fine-tuning the balance
of days that stream in here
or... clang  that sticking input!

of a life of small significance,
nor particularly well lived;
but senses acknowledge it
as intangible substance of a me,

that early took to musing
out of windows, in yards and gardens,
by rivers in rain, most found
when deeply lost in reveries.

*'Weaveworld '-  a book by Cliver Barker.

*The inversion...'and silent be' echo from 'stand stable here and silent be' from 'On This Island' by W H Auden

*Re  'The Continent of Lies' - James Morrow: - The cephapple--also known as a dreambean--is like a real apple (without seeds), and Morrow provides many examples that run the gamut of genre and type. The central character, Quinjin, is a dreambean critic who comes across a bean so sinister that it has the potential to enslave humanity.
