"will you be my date on the wedding?"

"Hmm umm?"Christine could not speak as her mouth was full with food.

"My family asked me to bring a plus one for the wedding. They won’t mind bringing a friend."

"Interesting " Christine thought "only yesterday i was getting a lecture on why i should date him and now...."

"Your cousin is getting married too soon",
She took another spoon of the delicious fried rice in front of her.
They make this sauce with the vegetables it’s just too mouth watering! She and Adam comes here sometimes after work.

"What so soon? She is 24. That's more than enough."

"I am not saying that. She knows the guy for only two months, as you told me and now getting married. "

"That also can be enough to know someone. At least she dated him. You here only god knows when the last time you went out with someone."

"I don’t want to." Christine  was not feeling like to talk. She poured some more sauce on her plate.
"And what about you? Why are not you looking for relationships? When girls are approaching you so often?"She added

"Jenny told you already?" Adam sighed

"She has a big mouth, you know that." Christine chuckled. "And then she is my sister. She won't hide one single thing from me.Tell me Adam, Why you are not dating."

Adam drank water from his glass.
"I don’t feel any connection or anything with any of them, that i am gonna take them on a date or something like that."

"You can't just expect a connection right way, that also take some times. And why do you think a date is a big deal? It’s as simple as this, we coming  in this food shop, eating and talking together. "

"Wow!" Adam raised his eyebrow and stared at Christine. A little bit of mischievous smile on his lips.

"What!"

"So i guess this is a date then!"

"Yeah!" Christine rolled her eyes.

"I don’t have to worry that much. My family will get me an arranged marriage. But you my dear, are gonna die an old cat lady if you don’t start dating. No one is going to find a husband for you"

"I don’t care. Ask the waiter to bring some more sauce!"

"Don’t you think it’s just time?'Adam tried to clear his throat.
"How long are you going to stay like this?"

"I am good."

"It's been too long. You really need to move on now."

Christine remained quiet. She started to feel heavy inside.
