" Why we are going back so soon?" Christine asked while Adam was driving.
"Something came up. It’s really important. "
"What is it?"
Adam did not reply, only smiled at her while keeping his hands on the Wheel.
"you should tell me. "Christians said biting her lips. "I was your girlfriend for the whole wedding, after all."she added.
"I still don't need to tell you, But if you really insist, It is something related to my work.
"Ok but I was really enjoying with your family. I wish we'd stayed longer."
"My family really likes you!" Adam said.
"They know me for a long time."
"I did not mean that. They like you us being together."
Cristine started she does not know why Adam sounded so funny to her
" Well we do make a good couple. "
"But it was acting only."
"It was. Doesn’t really matter. I had a great holiday. It was fun. I won't mind being your date again!"
"I am really honoured! " Adam said in a mocking voice.
"Well, i thought Jenny is missing you, so I think we really should go back." He suddenly stated.
"What an excuse!" Christine looking out the window.
Adam did not replied back. He was thinking of the phone call he got last night.
A crying Jenny hysterically telling him on phone how she and her friend were being followed. And that they could not find a car to go home!
She was mostly drunk, that's why called him instead of Christine.
Even though she was drunk, Adam sensed the fear in her voice. The thing is quite serious. He asked her if he should call someone to take them home, but she cut the phone.
Adam is quite worried. He called her in the morning, to his frustration no one picked up.
He asked Christine carefully if Jenny had called her or anything.
But Christine replied in negative. He then called a friend to check on her and let him know as soon as possible.
Christine won't be very delighted knowing Jenny went to some nightclub, and also the situation she got into. Adam decided to play it cool and not telling Christine anything until he knows everything.
He is eagerly waiting for someone to call him.
