I stared far off on a tower, sitting at the very edge while swinging my dangling legs. The stone was hard and slightly cracked below me, but I knew it could hold me. The cobble stone walls were built strong.

It was a beautiful time of night. The sky was a deep blue. Dozens of thousands of stars were scattered all across the sky. A visible milky way was streak across the sky, glowing a fierce purple and swerving. The moon was bright and shining as it's light reflected off of me.

L'Manberg.

My home.

Even though our system was more of a monarchy, we had preferred using the term's 'President' and 'Vice president.'

My necklace blended perfectly well with the view too. It's glowing sapphire gem sparkled and the gold chain stood out. I fiddled with it, careful not to break it from pressure. It was the only thing my mother handed down to me before she had enough and abandoned me in the woods.

At least, that's what Wilbur told me.

All was peaceful until I heard a voice call behind me.

"(Y/n)?"

I quickly turned around and saw Tubbo, a fellow younger fighter who trained with me. I smiled gently. "Hey, Tubbo. Wanna join me?" I asked, patting an empty space next to me.

"W-Wha- Ah, uhm- (Y-Y/n), there's a c-chance of me falling-" he stumbled over his words before sighing and giving up. I rolled my eyes and swung my legs over the wall.

"Anyways. What brings you here?" I asked, walking towards him. "O-Oh! Well, uhm, Wilbur wanted to call a meeting, and sent me out to bring you back to the headquarters!" Tubbo answered, gesturing for me to follow him.

I nodded, a little nervous. Wilbur never usually called meetings unless they were for a serious matter.

When I walked in, my heart dropped to my shoes as soon as I saw Wilbur's dead-serious face. He looked pale, and dark bags hung under his eyes. His hair was in a mess, and his body was tense. Naturally, I was concerned because we were raised together.

Soon, everybody came piling in.

"Everyone, please. Take a seat," he muttered in a raspy voice. I quickly took the one closest to me, not wanting to bother him any further.

"As you know, meetings are not put to use unless it's an emergency. We are here because I was given a note by the SMP," Wilbur said, looking up at us. I heard Niki, a well-known citizen and supporter, gasp behind me.

"Well, go on! What does it say?" Tommy (The child and a fellow fighter) asked in impatiently. Wilbur shot him a glare before clearing his throat. He became visibly more nervous.

"They declared another war.. Another battle against us because we signed a contract for our own independence for our land. And they don't want that happening, so they demanded another battle by tomorrow," he explained.

This time, everyone gasped. "W-What?! Are you serious right now?!" Fundy exclaimed, his eyes widening. Eret gritted his teeth together. "Well then, we have to prepare!" he said, standing up. Wilbur nodded before gesturing for us to follow him.

We walked up to the podium, only me and Wilbur getting on while we waited for the citizens and the L'manbergians to show up. Once they did, Wilbur stepped forward for the announcement.

"Citizens of L'manberg! I am sorry to announce that the SMP has declared war, for they do not agree with us for our independence! And for now, I need all the fighters and soldiers to follow me back to base!" he declared.
