the rest of the ride was silent and i was too scared to break it because i thought she would have snapped. when we get to the hospital we get out she starts walking behind me. i did want to hold her hand and walk next to her but i didn't. surprisingly, we got into the hospital and to claudia's room without being attacked by paps.

claudia: maddie!!

madison: clauds!!!!

she runs up to me and hugs me tightly. when we pull away she looks at billie and her smile kinda drops but i squeeze her hip making her smile softly

claudia: hi billie

billie: i'm glad you're okay.

claudia: me too

claudia signed herself out when we got to the reception and we went to billie's car.

billie: we're do you guys wanna go?

madison: oh yeah, we haven't told you yet. billie's willing to take us shopping today.

claudia: oh shit really?

madison: yeah

and we were off. billie called security to meet us at a mall just in case paps came and claudia stayed with me, literally running from store to store all day until the mall closed around 10pm. right now we were at the twins house with dani and liam. the twins were letting claudia stay the night since she doesn't want to be near finneas. billie is trying to get me to go home with her and she's not in the best mood because i'm hanging out with liam.

madison: so like what have you been up to? where'd your socials go and shit i can't find you anywhere

liam: well i'm keeping myself low

madison: what.. you're not on the fucking run are you

liam: i kinda am, but you can't call me in i swear maddie

madison: i won't, you're like my brother

liam: your bro- yeah, your brother

billie walks up to us from behind and wraps her arms around my waist, leaning her head on my shoulder but not speaking

liam: anyway, you got a boyfriend or anything?

madison: um

i didn't know what to say. billie was right and i never saw this coming. i felt her flinch and her breathing stopped like she was holding it in waiting for an answer.

madison: no,

i feel her grip on me loosen and she sighs

madison: but i do have my eye on someone

her grip tightens and her breathing starts to go back to normal.

liam: too bad then

madison: yeah

i turn to billie

madison: ready to go home?

billie: well we can stay if you want

madison: are you sure?

billie: yeah, i'll let the twins know and we'll just crash in your room upstairs.

i agree to stay and isaac walks in with two boxes of beer, elijah following him with another one and danielle coming in with tacobell and pizza boxes

isaac: to the movie room!!

everybody starts to run into rooms, coming back out with blankets and pillows then running downstairs leaving me and billie alone. we go up to my room and billie grabs a blanket while i change into one of her big hoodies and take my pants off. we both walk out and i look at her.
