Like asymptotes we meet only once
Roads led to us, forgetting the constance
Finding your value in this world of shame
Searching for equations that will satisfy our game
What is love, what is truth?
What are the words of our deep square root?
Problems that we have to solve pop up
Like little constants that we can't stop
The extravagance of the fallacy of perpedicularity
Drives us to cheat love and fight destiny
The way we will fall and will never meet
Is the day our roads part and our hearts beat

For though love is pain, love is peace
Though happiness is seen, sadness will never cease
We hope for the best, we do what we could
But these equations kept ruining our mood
And if we fall, like we do all the time
Can these thoughts bring and end to every crime?
We seek things, we fall into traps
Set ourselves on fire for in sadness we drop
What do we have to do now that chaos reigns
Is there anything else to change the aces of games?
The way we will fall with no one to catch us
Is the day we felt pain and melted out trust

The melody of X's and Y's is real
As does finding the domain and range of the love we must feel
Suddenly, the world is beautiful like teal
But what can we do except stare, pray, and kneel?
Happiness is never the answer to these
For there to be success, there's always the unpleasant bliss
Of ruined sleep and silent tears
As we stare through letter upon letter for a whole lot of years
Yes, we are good but not the best
We are fools in the world of intelligence
And then we will fall the way we used to
Until nothing is left but stone hearts for you

You plus me, never equalled infinity
Love minus peace will never be congruent to eternity
If "us" is composed of "you" and "me"
Then what will happen if we put the theory of complexity?
And when we finally intersect after a long way
I can say I feel fine but really, I'm never okay
These equations that we should remember
Shall be our downfall as we  trip and surrender
Love will be hard, no matter how we deny
Pain is easy when we didn't want it this time
And as the memories of life begin to change
The equations of love will forever remain strange

I just wanted to write a poem about math. I don't know why am I reading that poem now.

It's one of the poems that saw the light of day for the first time and I don't know if this poem even makes sense. I hope you've had fun reading.
