Chapter 28: Arriving at Zou

Shanna gulped. "Or even walk on water....."

"Can he really use supernatural ninja powers?" Law asked.

"Can he disappear in an instant like they say?" Franky inquired. 

Robin turned around in confusion. "What are you guys...."

"Yes, indeed!" Kinemon replied.

"So like, what kind of powers does he use?" asked Luffy excitedly. 

"Well for example, the power to see very far away. Ninpo, Telescopic Technique!" Kanjuro held his hands as 'ok' signs in front of Kinemon's eyes. 

"COOL!" Everyone except Robin exclaimed. 

"Hey! Stop talking gibberish!" Kinemon scolded Kanjuro.

"Oh, so it wasn't true..." Luffy sighed in disappointment.

"Aww....." Shanna pouted dejectedly. 

Suddenly Luffy shouted, "Hey, there's something flying towards us!"

"E-teh-teh-teh!" Shanna heard a weird sound from above.

"That's right. Apparently ninjas make that sound when they run about," Kanjuro spoke.

"Watch out!" Luffy shouted as everyone tilted to the side, allowing whatever was falling from above to fall right past them. However, Kanjuro placed his hands over Kinemon's eyes, preventing him from dodging whatever is falling from above. The two of them got hit right in the face and fell from the 'dragon.' "Kinemon! Kanjuro! AAHH DAMMIT! TWO OF THEM FELL OFF!"

"What was that thing?!" Shanna exclaimed. She tilted sideways, trying to look down, but Law turned her head upwards and made her sit upright.

"Don't look, you'll fall," he said.

"I'm not that clumsy," she pouted.

"Huh..." Law replied doubtfully. 

After confirming the samurais were okay, the Straw Hats and Heart Pirates continued their journey up the elephant leg aboard the dragon they now named Ryuunosuke. By the time they could finally see the top of the elephant, the sun was already setting. For hours, they just sat on Ryuunosuke and cheered him on to keep climbing. The dragon kept sweating and groaning as he climbed. Once he also saw the top, he seemed to be so determined, for he picked up his speed, and kept crawling, and crawling, and crawling, until he finally brought the crew to the top.

"YEAAHHHH ZOU!! WE'VE ARRIVED!" Luffy shouted. 

While all the boys were cheering, Robin was the only one who stayed by the side of the panting and dying Ryuunosuke. "Ryuuu...." Ryuunosuke groaned.

"Ryuunosuke," Robin patted his head. Her eyes widened when she noticed its tail fading into the earth, and tears started to form in her eyes. "So you're finally turning back into a drawing now..."

"RYUUNOSUKE-" Luffy and Usopp gasped as they noticed the fading dragon. "Wait!"

"No Ryuunosuke! We haven't even thanked you yet!" Usopp pleaded.

"Ryuuu~!" Ryuunosuke said before finally disappearing into the art.

"RYUUNOSUKE!!!!!!!!" Luffy, Usopp, and Franky cried. "RYUUNOSUKE!!!! RYUUNOSU-"

"This is ridiculous," Law groaned.

"It was a lousy drawing to begin with anyways," added Zoro. Ahaha...I can't disagree, Shanna thought to herself.

Usopp turned around and screamed, "Hey apologize you two! It did its best to bring us all here!"

Shanna turned around to see a big, stone built wall with a watch tower. There was a gate in the wall which she assumed was the entrance to the country that resides on the back of Zou. "Hey Shanna! Usopp! Take a look at this!" She heard Luffy call from above. Tilting her head up, she could see the straw hat wearing boy all the way at the top of the watch tower.

"When did you get up there?!" Usopp demanded. 

An excited grin spread over Shanna's lips as she jumped up from the ground, onto the top of the wall, and then jumped again to reach the top of the tower. "What did you see Lu-" Her jaws dropped immediately when she laid eyes on the breathtaking sight before her. "...Whoa....." That was the only word she could use to describe the scene before her. A gigantic whale shaped tree surrounded by a vast forest, and there was a town outside of that forest built with bricks and stones. 

"AMAZING!!!! On the back of an elephant, there're forests, rivers, and even a town! It's like we're on another island!" Luffy shouted.

"Law! You gotta take a look! This is ama-" Before Shanna could finish, Luffy jumped off of the tower. "Luffy!?"

"Ahh! Luffy jumped!" Usopp shouted.

"Sure he did... Got anything on eyebrows?" Zoro asked, completely used to his captain's crazy antics. 

"Shanna! Quit fooling around! Come down here!" Law shouted. Shanna clicked her tongue in annoyance. Party pooper.... She jumped down from the tower, landing on the top of the wall, and then she ran to the top of the gate, and jumped down again, landing in front of Law.

"You didn't need to jump down, the doors were open anyways," Zoro said.

Law looked up at the wall, eyes squinting when he noticed the broken metal hinge. "It's not like they were open to begin with. Someone forced them open."

"You think it was Sanji?" Shanna asked.

"Hah?! Eyebrows?! Psh, no way," Zoro scoffed. He looked around, and scratched the back of his head as he studied the broken trees and destroyed path ahead of them. "This path looks a little strange. Too wide to be an animal trail."

"That's what you're concerned about?! Can't you see the obvious traces of destruction?!" Shanna retorted.

Zoro laughed, "Heh! Best be prepared then."
