Chapter 28: Arriving at Zou

"It's not exactly land either, that's why the log pose can't take us there. This is my first time being here too," Law added. Shanna unconsciously grabbed on to the edge of Law's shirt out of nervousness. It was a habit of hers as a kid, one that she never fixed. Noticing the uneasiness radiating off of his young girlfriend, Law's lips curled into a soft smirk. "Scared?"

"N-No!" Shanna denied as she quickly let go of his shirt. "Of course not!" Law took her hand in his, giving it a tight, reassuring squeeze. 

Kinemon gawked at the gigantic elephant. "So this is Zou!! There are some really strange things out in the outside world huh! I wonder if Momonosuke is doing well!" he said.

"Hey! I heard there's a tribe there that hates people in general..." said Kanjuro.

"Yeah... The Mink Tribe. They've got a history of staying isolated and away from people for about 1000 years already," informed Law.

"A THOUSAND YEARS?! ON THE ELEPHANT'S BACK?!" Everyone except Shanna gasped.

"So.... It's been living for a 1000 years already?! Is it really just an elephant then?!" Luffy demanded.

Once the ship was close enough to the elephant's leg, they could see the Thousand Sunny chained to it. While the Barto Club pirates were fanboying over Luffy's ship, the Straw Hats, Law, Shanna, and the samurais all jumped down to the Sunny. After checking that there was no one aboard, they deduced that Sanji and the others must have already climbed to the top of the elephant. 

"But how do we get up there?" asked Shanna. She looked at Law. "Can your room reach all the way up there?"

"Are you trying to kill me?" Law demanded.

"Ahaha...I guess not..." the redhead chuckled as she rubbed the back of her head. 

Kanjuro started drawing this strange pig nosed creature with a long, earthworm like body...and legs? He started filling in the body with scales, and then he shouted, "Appear! Rising Dragon!"

"Dragon?!" the Straw Hats gasped.

That's supposed to be a dragon? Shanna raised a brow. 

"Ryuuuuu~" the 'dragon' whined. 

"Pft!" Shanna turned her head over to chuckle discretely, trying not to hurt Kanjuro's feelings. I'm sorry Kanjuro, but that's a horrible dragon....

The gang climbed onto the dragon, and bid the Barto Club Pirates goodbye. The 'dragon' climbed up the hind leg of the elephant so slowly, that Shanna was getting bored. The higher the dragon climbed the more nervous she got, because the 'dragon' seemed to be sweating a lot and having a lot of trouble, gasping and panting and all. 

Her back pressed against Law's chest. He held her by the waist, pulling her close to him. "Oh yeah, why do you guys wanna go to Zou? Kinemon, Kanjurou, Tra-guy!" Luffy asked out of the blue.

"Ah yes. We feel that we ought to tell you everything now that you're our benefactor! But please, let us reach there first," said Kinemon.

"Yes, we that have left the Kingdom of Wano have made getting to Zou our destination. We need to know if Momonosuke is fine or not, and we need to find our comrade we lost contact with at sea, Raizou the ninja, and see if he's made it here safely as well," said Kanjuro.

"NINJA?!" Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Shanna, Law, and Franky all turned around with stars in their eyes. 

"What?" Robin was the only one confused as to why everyone else were so excited. 

"A ninja....I want to meet him!" Luffy exclaimed.

"I wanna see a shuriken," said Zoro.

"Will he sit on a waterfall?" wondered Usopp.
