1x6. Luke's Birthday

Julie wakes up, looking over to see if Luke was awake. "Good Morning Jules!" He says lost in thought. "Morning, hey are you ok?" He blinks, lost in his thoughts. "Uh huh, yeah I'm just thinking about my mom." Julie gets up and hugs him. He poofs out without another word. "Guys!" Julie says, running out to the garage. "What, what happen?" Reggie asks and Alex stops tapping his drums. "Luke left to I am assuming his mom's house, but I don't know, he didn't say!" Julie falls to her knees. "He was so excited about the gig he got us this morning, at the cafe." Alex states as Julie nods, remembering how excited they all were about it. "Remember what today is?" Reggie says softly, and Alex's jaw drops. "Oh." Julie excuses herself, and sits on the couch inside, doing homework. "Julie, remember that song you found. The one titled Emily?" Julie remembers. "If you could only know, I never let you go. Wow Luke such a romantic." Julie nods. "Can we show you who that's actually about?" She nods and Alex grabs her hand, and they all poof to Luke's old house. "He comes here a lot, we've been following him, he doesn't know that we know he comes here." Reggie informs. "He just sits and watches them." Alex chimes in. "Is that a cake?" Julie asks, watching them. "It's a birthday cake." Reggie tells her. "He left on bad terms." Alex says, and Reggie continues. "They didn't exactly want their seventeen year old, to drop out of school to join a rock band." Then Alex cuts in. "That's why he was so hell bent on getting revenge on Bobby, to show his parents." Reggie swallows, thinking of how to tell the whole reason why Luke was so angry. "To prove his dream was a reality." Julie then nods, wiping her tears, wanting to give them all a hug. "They would be so proud." She then poofs home, courtesy of Alex, as the boys and her wait for Luke. "What's up boys?" Luke asks, dropping into a seat, noticing Julie right away. "Hey Jules, sorry I left so abruptly this morning." Julie stands up, and runs into his arms, hugging him. "I'm just glad you're ok!" Luke smiles. "Alright boss, what're we working on?" Luke asks as Julie sits back on her stool. "Finally Free, oh and Luke, happy birthday!" Luke smiles at her, and looks at the boys with awe. When Julie comes in the house her tia is already waiting with her dad. "You wanna explain why you ditched school today?" Tia asks over her dad as usual. "Because I didn't feel well after the dance." She says. It wasn't a complete lie if she had gone, she would've cried all day long, because Luke makes her feel alive. If he was dealing with stuff, then she wouldn't dare move, if she was being honest Luke became her best best friend and she couldn't breathe without him around. "You are grounded, go to your room and study." Her dad says as her aunt feeds him the answers. "But I, fine!" She says defeated, going to her room. "Hey Julie!" Reggie says, popping his head in her room, Luke yanks his shirt pulling him back, as he walks in with them following. "Miss Melina, what are you still doing here?" Luke asks sitting on his leg, next to her. "Yeah, there's managers, vips, and a jam packed room!" Alex says excited. "Plus I heard Dirty Candy was going to perform too." Reggie tacks on raising a brow. "I'm sorry guys, my dad grounded me for skipping school." Luke grins. "So sneak out." Luke whispers. "My Aunt is watching Carlos downstairs!" She says. "Your aunt hey? Miss Melina you can climb out of here." He says opening the window. "I'll be back when your done getting changed. He adds as they leave. He then takes her to the cafe, standing behind her, giving her and Flynn space. "Alex what are you doing?!" The boys ask as the three of them laugh at him stage bombing Carrie. "That was just for you guys." He defends out of breath. "Yeah, you can stop smiling now." Luke says smiling. "C'mon birthday boy, hand in first!" Julie says as he grabs hers, followed by his. "Ladies first." They do their show circle and head on stage. "It's actually Julie and the Phantoms." Julie says making up for Luke's unique handwritten submission. "Ok...." She says shyly, playing. Her dad says, as Luke follows her home. The other two are in the garage, Luke stayed with Julie all night again.
