"Call me as soon as you leave the meeting" I told Mir through the phone as I laid on the couch scrolling through the tv
He was meeting up with another record label today to show them everything's he's been working on.
"You know I got you baby girl. You're the first person I'm calling" He laughed
"You better Jamir"
"Chill on my Gov name girl" He said making me laugh "What you gonna do today?"
"Uh I think we heading to my grandma's house. It's Shooters brother's birthday today so they having a little get together and told us that we better go" I laughed remembering the phone call with my grandma threatening us if we didn't show up
Honestly it felt nice knowing that I actually had a family who loved us and wanted us included in everything they did. It was still taking time to get used to considering that for so long it was only my brothers and I with my grandparents. That's the only family we had growing up. So now having about a thousand new people in my life is a lot to take in but I'm thankful.
"And you wasn't gonna invite me? Wow" He gasped
"You told me you were going to be busy all day" I shrugged like he could see me finally settling on "Dateline" on NBC
"You know I will drop everything if you asked me to" He said making me smile
"Get yo ass up and ready" Tez interrupted coming in the house
"Well Good morning to you too"
"Good morning Lady bug"He laughed coming over kissing my head "Now get yo ass ready"
"Where are we going at 8 in the morning?" I questioned looking at him just as Dre walked in
"We teaching yo ass how to drive today" Dre tossed me the car keys as he walked passed me and into the kitchen
I smiled at the keys getting excited because I've been bugging them to teach me so I can finally have my freedom. I was tired of always being stuck in the house because I didn't know how to drive so I had no car. And I be too paranoid after everything that happened to ride in Ubers.
"Ya'll really about to trust that girl on the road?" Mir said making me smack my lips
"Polo yo ass just crashed a whip a few nights ago my Nigga. Don't come for my sister" Tez laughed defending me
"Exactly! Tryna come for me but yo ass can barely fucking drive" I laughed
"But you still hop in the car with me so fuck yo ass complaining about?"
"Shut up! But call me when your meeting is over. Let me go get ready before these niggas change their mind" I told him quickly saying my goodbyes before hanging up.
I honestly was just gonna put some shoes on cause I didn't feel like getting all dressed up just to go drive. I had on some black adidas joggers and a plain white Tee.
"Can we get breakfast after? I'm starving" I got up from the couch walking into the kitchen where they both were at
"Yeah we'll grab some on the way home" Dre said closing the fridge turning my way
