Ellie came up to Jordyn later on in the day to apologise once more, just as they finished a session in the gym. Jordyn was on her way out with Liyah, but halted as Ellie approached, nodding to Liyah to go on ahead.

"I just wanted to say I'm really sorry, Jord," she said quietly, her cheeks a little pink with embarrassment. "I've slept on it, and I feel even worse now, seeing how I was acting in a different light. I guess I was just threatened by you - youre really good, and what I was doing never worked how I wanted it to anyway. You never let anything affect how you play your football, which is a really great quality."

"Aw, it's okay Ellie, really," Jordyn told the girl with a smile. "I already forgave you. To be honest, Trent was constantly in my ear about how great you are, and I trust his judgement. I want to start again with you, if that's what you want."

"I do want that," Ellie nodded. "I know we're not really friends right now, but I'd like to be, eventually."

"I'd like that too," Jordyn replied.

"Trent's not talking to me now though," she shrugged, her expression changing to sadness as she spoke. "I guess it's because the two of you are so close."

"Don't worry about Trent," Jordyn told her, honestly. "He just needs space. But it gives you time to get to know the rest of the team."

"That's true," Ellie nodded. "Okay. Thanks, Jord."

"You're welcome."

The two of them left the gym, both of them heading towards the dressing room. Jordyn wanted to have a shower before getting some lunch, and accordingly, she was in a hurry. Virgil met them as they entered, on his way out with Gini. He raised an eyebrow at Jord, upon seeing her with Ellie, and paused to speak with the Scouse girl.

"You good?" He asked.

Jord nodded.

"All good," she confirmed. "I'll come find you after this? I'm just gonna shower."

"Alright."

He smiled at her, before jogging to catch up with Gini, who'd been waiting at the door for his friend. Jordyn saw Gini looking at him pointedly, and Virgil shaking his head in amusement, before the door closed on them and they were gone. Jordyn chuckled quietly to herself. The more she saw of their friendship, the more they made her smile.

True to her word, she joined Virgil and Gini in the cafeteria as soon as she was finished with her shower, hailing Trent from a nearby table where he'd been typing away on his phone to join them.

"Good shower?" Virg asked, and Jordyn sighed contentedly, resting her head on her arms and turning to look at him.

"The best. It's always the best after gym though, isn't it."

"Can confirm," said Gini. "You gonna eat lunch, Jord?"

"Oh," she said, in realisation. "I guess I should do that."
