Chapter 9 Part 1: Tattoo

Avril's POV

"Wake up Niall! Please, don't leave me!" I whispered in his ear as I grasped my hand tighter and intertwined our hands. I got nothing from him.

All the thoughts I didn't want to think about just had to come to my mind. All the terrifying scenarios i could possibly think about happened.

Something went wrong during surgery that they didn't see earlier and Niall had stopped breathing for a few minutes. I could of sworn I stopped breathing to. I couldn't stand to see Niall in a tremendous amount of pain.

He had tubes and wires connected to his shoulder and chest. He had gone in a coma during surgery and he hasn't woken up since.

'I can't believe I might actually lose him.' I thought to myself.

Niall had been in a coma for about 5 hours now and to be honest I don't think he'll wake up anytime soon. He had lost an extremely giant portion of blood.

"This can't be happening." I said aloud removing my hand from his.

The minute I got up, I instantly died inside. My heart had been broken once Niall's heart monitor had started beeping and the doctors started to storm in.

Niall was surrounded by doctors and nurses.

I couldn't help but drown myself in tears.

I got up and walked towards the door to exit the room. I couldn't stand to see him this way. I don't want to lose him.
He's all I have besides Luke and the baby I'm pregnant with.

I twisted the doorknob and pulled the door open. I ran covering my stomach with my hands.

I felt the sudden erg to take a wazz. I slowed down the speed I was running at when I realized I was far away from Niall's room.

"Avril are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice ask behind me.
I turned around to see Niall's mom Mura.

"Mura what are you doing here? I thought you were at home in Ireland?" I asked removing my hands from my stomach and started to use them to wipe my watery eyes.

"I flew in once I got the news that Niall had been shot . I took the earliest flight I could possibly take and rushed to the nearest hospital closest to Logan. Now here I am. Answer the question sweetheart, are you okay?"

I kept wiping my tears.

I took a deep breath and began to open my mouth when a nurse interrupted.

"Mrs.Horan we were able to revive him but, he still remains unconscious. I recommend going home resting up a bit. The police will be there once Niall wakes up from his coma. We will call you when he's awake or if he's having difficulty and something goes wrong."

I felt my heart racing fast like a cheetah. Faster than that if possible. I lost control of my balance and fell to the floor with my hands over my heart.
I started convulsing and before I knew it I was out like a lightbulb.

Eleanor's POV

"Isn't he a cutie Lou?" I asked Louis who was just smiling at the calm nine month old child.

We were at my hotel room watching a horror film trying to get Luke to sleep.

Luke is just the cutest thing I've ever seen. He's got bright baby blue eyes, rosy cheeks, light brown hair, and dimples. He was such a cutie I couldn't help but take a couple selfies with him and Lou.

"Yea he's a cute baby. But, he's not as cute at you." He said while tapping his pointer finger on my nose.

"Awwh thanks babe." I said blushing a little bit.

It's been about 6 hours since we left the hospital and I haven't I heard a thing from Av or the hospital.

"Babe." I said directing towards Louis.

"Yes Eleanor?" He replied.
He was cradling Luke in his arms as he stared directly at me.

"Can I please see your phone? I'm gonna try giving the Avril a call?" I begged.

"Why can't you use your own?" He asked looking displeased as Luke started to cry in his arms.

I pulled out my phone as I held down the power button waiting for the low battery symbol to pop up on the small screen.

"Awh I see." He said handing Luke over to me. I held out my arms as he placed him in my arms. He was balling his eyes out.

I took a guess that he was hungry. It has been a while since the last time he ate. I mean I can only imagine cause Lou and I didn't feed him and I'm pretty sure Avril didn't knowing that her husband has been shot and she didn't have time.

Louis pulled out his phone from his pants pockets and unlocked it for me to use.

He handed it over and took Luke from me.

"You can go see if we have any baby formula left over from the other day when Selena brought Layla over." I said hoping that they had left some here knowing that every time they come over they leave something behind.

"Okay babe." He said getting up gently from the uncomfortable leathered couch.

As he stood up and walked off I started dialing Avril's number.

I let it ring 6 times before going to voicemail.

I decided to hang up and call the hospital instead.

Something must be wrong if she didn't answer on the first call.

(A/N: So tell me what do you think? Intriguing right? I mean a lot has happened during this part. A lot of stuff you hopefully found unexpected. Cause that was my goal. To have every event be unexpected because if you can expect everything that is going to happen in a story or book than obviously it's not all that good and I would recommend not reading it. What I do recommend though is listening to "Tattoo" by Jordin Sparks cause I love that song (Plus Jordin) and it's truly amazing.

Did anyone like the half chapter with Eleanor and Louis? I mean I couldn't help but write that in. Thanks to a642001 for the idea of putting them in here in the first place.
