Welcome To The Gloom And Doom

Hello, dear reader. You are about to enter into a collection of poems illustrating a very painful point in my life. I had a friend-a rather close friend-cut ties. Cut them on the worst day possible. The day I was at a funeral.
You can imagine my shock, dear reader, when I checked my notifications to find a message that was too late to respond to.
Needless to say, sorrow and desperation grew rampant.
I am recovering, but it is always going to hurt. Wounds like these take time to heal. There's no feasible way to get this friend back. This friend must return on their own if I mean that much. People get scared to get close to others. I understand.
These poems were previously released as part of my ongoing poetry collection, Mind Over Matter. However, since these poems are all pieces of one story, I decided it would be best to separate the moments of this journey into their own collection. After all, heartache counts for something and scars always have a story worth telling.

All the best and thanks for reading,

~ Cecilia Faith
