The girls jump from their spot shaking off the blanket beneath them before heading up the beach alone, their footsteps leaving prints as they move the sun already set in the distance

"I'm happy you came you know.."

"You are?"

Lauren replied with an evident sense of self doubt she hadn't expected to show so blatantly in her words, Camila nod as she watch her walk  trying not to step on anything undesirable

"Yeah, it's nice just talking to you, I mean it's kind of crazy our parents have been friends for years yet we never met until now.."

"Well I was shipped off to private school until college so that's probably why"

The younger girl glance up with a questioning gaze not realising her school experience

"You were? Why?"

"I don't know I guess they thought it would turn me into a lawyer or something"

She giggled scraping back her hair

"I bet they're proud of you anyway.."

"You don't really know much about me Camila.."

The younger huff out feeling a gentle pang in her chest at those words, she knew that's all they were but it only made her realise how much she actually wanted to know.. everything

"I know more than you think.."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah like.. you scrape your hair back when you get anxious, push your tongue in front of your teeth when you're about to explode .. uhh you lick your lips when you're lying and the most obvious thing ... you rub your hands over your thighs when you're turned on.."

Lauren just stared at the smaller open mouthed hating how readable she was to the girl.. she knew all of those things to be true and as much as she hated to admit that the girl had worked her way into her heart.. she realised the only reason she knew all of those things was because she took notice.. watched.. analysed

"That's not scary at all..."

"I mean it's hard not to notice those things.. I knew them even when we were fighting.."

Lauren looked to the side smiling hoping the girl wouldn't catch it but she did, she smirk to herself noticing the effect she had on the elders sharp personality

"My feet hurt.."

Camila spoke huffing as she stop at the edge between the sand and concrete rubbing at her small feet, Lauren step over onto the concrete ledge brushing off her soles before shoving her half undone sneakers on turning her back to Camila with open arms

"Jump on"

"Wh-

"Come on the jauregui train is leaving soon!"

The younger laugh out throwing her head behind her before grabbing Lauren's shoulders jumping up onto her back caught quickly by her warm arms holding just under her thighs

"Where'd you wanna go ma'am?"

"Back to my dorm please, it's just over there!"

"Dorm it is!"

The pair giggle uncontrollably as Lauren began to walk not even struggling for a moment as she carried the tired girl back across the various streets and roads that led to the entrance of their campus
