Two hearts Joined
Was this normal?
Feeling this comfort
So fast: So soon. The feeling of longing
Tightening around us
As chains separated us from one anotherThey tighten
Day by day
Their spirals moving inwards
Up our joint yet separated formsIt tightens
Reaching our throats
Silencing our criesTill it loosens
We passed its test
The chains around us
Clatter by our feetThe barrier's gone.
Is this feeling normal?
How fast our hearts beat in sync as we finally meetIs this pain in my chest out of joy
Or from remembering the pain of being away from you?
Our grips tighten
Our hands holding one another
Too scared to let go
As the chains slither past us
Not disturbing our embrace
As our hands finally connect.
