Today's the day! All four of us in DNCE kick off our first tour date today, right in my former hometown of Los Angeles, at the Staples Center. I've waited literally so long for this moment, and I'm not sure I can find the words to accurately describe how I feel right now. There's just so many things running through my head. In order to try and calm my mind, I decide to tweet something out to the fans, just to let them know that I'm pumped and ready to rock my first performance as the DNCE frontman. This is it; the time for us to shine as a band. In real life this time, not recorded in a studio.

"So we have, like, a half hour before the show, right?" Cole asks me as we sit backstage in my dressing room.
"Yeah. We go on at 6:30," I tell him, opening Snapchat on my phone with one hand as I eat a slice of pizza with the other.
"Cool. I'm super excited," he says, and I nod before turning back to my social media and opening up a snap from Nick.

No fucking way he's here right now. No way he flew all the way here from New York for this concert! But obviously he did, because he's clearly entering the venue right now, to support me. I have to make sure he's not pranking, but if he's not, this is the best surprise I could've gotten. Like, ever.

He snaps me back quickly and I make sure to open it within the first thirty seconds. Now I'm even more excited; I didn't think I'd have anybody coming to watch me tonight that I know personally, but if I do, then it makes this moment even more huge.
