Part 2

I screamed, all the wood dust filled the air. My instrument, the violin, screeched under my grasp. The wood scratched me as I fell and hit the ground. My head hurt. My ears were ringing. My body ached.

"Vanessa!" I heard Damon call. I tried so hard to open my eyes. I finally gained control again soon enough. Damon and my classmates surround me. His gray eyes filled with worry.

"D-Damon." I forced out. He sighed relieved.

I heard voices, but couldn't hear what they were saying. Damon just nodded, his black hair blocking the bright stage lights above. He picked me up and a rush of pain ran through my body.

He whispered, "I'm sorry. I'm taking you to the office."

When we got to the office, Ms. G helped with my cuts and splinters. She was a small lady with blonde hair that was pinned into a bun. She had thin black glasses, a light blue short sleeve shirt and tan pants. She asked me what had happened. I wasn't so sure. Her blue eyes looked at me, concerned. Damon had told her the part I was unsure about.

"Ness was playing her violin, and all of a sudden the stage collapsed." Damon had his arms folded across his chest. I could kind of see him more clearly now. His lips were in a thin line, and his gray eyes were unreadable.

Suddenly, the thought of the fortune cookie rammed into me. Was this what the warning was for? I know I just got scratched and a few splinters. Maybe they, the person or people after me, are just planning more things to get to me. I shook my head. It had to be a coincidence. I don't think anyone would come out and try to hurt me. Maybe a few screws were loose on the stage. It's possible.

Ms. G gave me the choice to either go home for the rest of the day or to continue with my school day. I chose to attend my classes. Many of the students had asked if I was okay after they heard about the whole falling through the stage thing. I just told them that I was fine. They accepted it.

The end of the day bell rang soon enough. I was so thankful I didn't have to answer anymore questions. I saw Damon in the crowd and went over to him. He smiled at me, his hands in his jean pocket.
"Hey," he kissed my cheek. I smiled, taking his hand. "Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. It's just... been," I laughed nervously, "everyone is just asking about it. Anyways, how was -"

"Look out!" he stopped me, grabbing me by pulling me towards him.

I heard a TWAP! A loud one. The hallways that used to buzz with excitement suddenly became dead silent and looked our way.

Hey guys!

Sorry I forgot to post a few days ago. I didn't mean to leave you guys for that long. I hope you're enjoying the book. Again, I'm thinking of taking down all my books and rewriting them to make it make more sense. What you guys are reading is my first attempt of my story, "The Forbidden Love Triangle" and my second attempt at "Secrets Kept From The World" which was also called "Story of a Young Star".

Thank you all for the support!
