Three Years Later

The warm sun beamed over the land where even the cool rivers reflected every beam. From a distance, youthful giggles echoed within the wind followed along with smaller feet running up and down the field leading to a wide river. There, Jimin stood as he watched Jungkook run around with his firstborn daughter who turned out to be a young omega. Jimin watched the two and placed his hand over the center of his own belly where a bump just hid underneath his bright red hanbok. Jimin was expecting once again, yet this pregnancy was already one month in and carried the same symptoms he faced, but didn't seem to fear anymore.

The wind blew through Jimin's hair as he smiled at the two up ahead. There was the usual omega river just a walk away, but they avoided it just so Jungkook's senses wouldn't be ruined again like before. The small royal family was heavily guarded by a group of palace guards and many servants standing to bring them whatever they pleased. They were not allowed to leave the palace without a set of guards to protect them at all costs.

Just as the omega watched the two with giggles from his daughter filling his ears, Jungkook stopped and approached his husband to take a short break since he couldn't run around as much as he wanted to. Jungkook's wound was well recovered, but it took time for him to build up the energy he lost before. He would jog around for a while and grow close to passing out since the pain was still there, but the wound was closed shut.

"Ah... why don't you play around with her for a while? Y-You know I can't... I can't run around that often!" Jungkook spoke out of breath as he finally sat next to Jimin. "You could at least walk with her,"

"Jungkook, you know Ji-nyo does not like to walk at all. Look at her!" Jimin giggled and looked over to his daughter jumping around happily with giggles filling their ears. "Sit here with me and she will burn herself out."

"Alright," Jungkook whispered and sat next to his omega before leaning in to bring him into his arms. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing... that's the best feeling someone like me could have," Jimin whispered and finally pressed his head over his alpha's shoulder. "How long has it been since we've taken a moment to sit outside together like this? I feel so trapped just in the courtyard. It's a shame that we won't be able to share moments like these now that there is so much in our lives. It was simple before... but it wasn't the best solution at the time."

"When I dressed as a commoner to see you?"

"Yes. It could have been so dangerous then, but I'm thankful we have a moment outside to let her run around happily," Jimin assured and kept his hand over his small baby bump. "How many pups will we have? Do you want to have a big family?" giggled the omega as he turned his head to meet with the alpha's perfect face. "I want to know because it's a lot of work to carry our happiness..."

"Maybe a thousand more?~" Jungkook asked into a tease and made Jimin giggle in his arms.

"Jungkook!"

"Ah, I'm only teasing, my love," Jungkook added on and kissed the omega. "We will have to see in the future. Maybe one day you'll want more, maybe then you'll want to stop at three. It's your choice and I promise it will always be your choice. It's your body, not mine," Jungkook continued in his low and raspy growls that sent shivers down Jimin's spine.

"You never fail to make me the happiest omega there has ever been. Is that the perks I get for being the King's Swan?"

"It's what I do for you, not only because you're my swan, it's because you're my world!" Jungkook added on and made the omega blush and look away. "Every moment feels as if I'm falling for you all over again. So many memories we've made, I can't wait for so much more."

Silently, the omega pressed his back against his lover's body and closed his eyes in his arms. They hid under the paper umbrella a servant carried over their heads and listened to their hearts and their child run around freely. A moment as gentle as this, Jimin longed to stay there with his alpha until the sunset, but he knew with so many rules set out for the king, that would be impossible to pursue. It was difficult to keep up with the rules at times, Jimin was not allowed to eat with his alpha for every meal, but he had to take on every rule since he knew love came with a price of sacrificing so much for the other. Jimin wasn't so bothered by these rules now.

Jungkook combed his fingers through his swan's soft hair as it caressed the tips of his fingers gently like feathers. The moment for them was calm. Even nothing filled their ears but their true happiness running and enjoying her time outside, the two caught onto the sounds of their hearts syncing as always. "My swan..." Jungkook whispered and couldn't help but to kiss Jimin over his forehead. "Let's stay like this forever... It feels as if I'm living a dream I hope to never wake up from. I want to always hear the beat of our hearts matching and the sound of your laughter when I say even the craziest things ever," Jungkook thought and watched Jimin's eyes pull open to lock onto his.

"My Jungkook..." Jimin added on and intertwined his fingers onto Jungkook's hand as they looked into each other's eyes. Taking a moment to adore each other's presence at a still moment like this. It was as if the issues in their life disappeared for the moment they remained so close. That was love, that was the definition they had always been looking for and now, this was what they had in their arms.
