"That's not really supportive," I said, furrowing my eyebrows.
Tumawa naman siya sa reaksyon ko. "Of course, it is! Ipapa-realize ko sayo na sa lahat ng pwedeng gawin, do not include hunger strike in any of those. Gawin mo na lahat, wag mo lang i-deprive ang sarili mo sa food." Napanguso ako sa explanation siya. Mukhang nakalimutan ko na naman na she's not any other types of woman.
She's weird but it's the great kind of weird.
And I think I'm starting to get used to it.
Nginitian niya lang ako nang dumating ang waiter dala ang pagkain namin. Hindi ko naman maiwasang pagmasdan siya habang kumakain. She's silent as she ate her food―as if it's some kind of a holy hour for her.
Napatingin siya sakin na parang may naalala. "Nga pala, Chance baby."
"What is it?"
"Remember Hannah Ramos?" Napaangat ang mga kilay ko as I try to recall the name pero wala naman akong naalala kaya umiling na lang ako.
"She's my friend na dapat ipapakilala ko sayo noon kaso hindi natuloy. She's been out of the country din naman kaya ganoon." She explained.
"What about her?"
"Siya yung girl na ipapakilala ko sayo. I already talked to her about it and open naman siya for it. I'll text you na lang kung kalian. Kaso nga lang, she's not a Lawyer because she's a Doctor." Pagpapatuloy niya.
"Ang gusto ko, yung Lawyer." Napanganga naman siya sa sinabi ko.
"Ang uptight mo naman! Wala namang masama kung Doctor siya diba? She's pretty and smart at the same time. I'm sure you'll like her." Napataas ang kilay ko.
"How sure are you that I'll like her?"
"Mga 90%."
"Paano mo naman nasabi?"
"Hindi ko alam―"
"Hindi mo pala alam eh. Then call that girl and tell her na hindi na pala tuloy. May iba naman diyan na Lawyer, or magiging Lawyer at yun yung gusto ko. Let me remind you na ako naman yung makikipagdate." Eleanor shot me a glare before sighing in defeat.
"Fine. Ang arte mo, grabe. Pa-Lawyer Lawyer ka pa diyan!"
"Just do it. Yun ang gusto ko." I eyed her. Yun naman talaga ang gusto ko. Kasi kung hindi, I'd rather live alone. I want a Lawyer-in-the-making woman who is beautiful, smart, funny and friendly without trying so hard.
Unfortunately, isang babae lang naman ang makakapasa sa gusto ko.
