CHAPTER - 40

I quickly took out my camera and started recording it.

"I was waiting to meet you for so long. That stupid Valentino still has not proposed me." Kenzie said.

"Don't worry sweetheart. Boss has said the plan is going to be alright." The guy said to her.

Kenzie sighed and kissed the guy who kissed her back.

I quickly stopped the recording and shoved the phone in my pocket and started making my way towards Xavier who was talking with someone on his phone.

Someone came and put their hands on my mouth to prevent me from shouting.

I tried to scream but it came muffled.

I kicked on the person's shoes really hard. He yelped in pain and removed his hands from my mouth.
"Xavier!" I shouted.

Xavier head whipped towards me and his eyes-widened.

He ran towards me and started beating the man who has caught me.

He punched the guy non-stop.

From no where, 3 people came, their faces covered in  mask. One puttana shot me on my leg. I screamed in pain and fell down on the ground with a thud.

Xavier's eyes-widened with worry and anger. He looked at me and then at the person who shot me and quickly rushed towards me.

But from no where a bullet was shot but Xavier came and covered me with his body.

A loud bang could be heard and the sound of Xavier's yelp.

I sat their frozen.

Xavier's body went limped and he fell on me.

"No!" I screamed

I saw the man who shot him running away as a big crowd is formed by now.

I quickly took off my jacket and tied it against the gun-wound which was somewhere on the right side of his abdomen. I placed his head on my lap.

"No. No. This can't happen." I shouted.

"Bubba keep your eyes open. " I told him while crying for him and for me both.

He was clearly having difficulty in keeping them opened.

I took out my phone and called Emilio while slapping Xavier a few times on his face. I itself was feeling dizzy.

"Keep your eyes open, Bubba." I told him.

Soon Emilio picked the call and annoyedly said, "What happened?"

"E-Emilio. Xavier is been s-shot." I said to him while sobbing and forcing Xavier to keep his eyes open.

"What?" Emilio shouted.

"We're at the nearest A-amusement Park. Come q-quickly." I said to him.

"I'm coming. Don't let him loose his consciousness." with that he cut the call.

"Please Bubba. Don't close your eyes." I begged him while my head was also spinning. I was feeling dizzy.

"Don't worry p-princess. Everything is g-going to be al-alright." He said while groaning in pain.

"Bubba pleas-"

Ambulance sound could be heard in a distance.

"Oh baby. Everything is gonna be alright." Suddenly Kenzie said from nowhere.

I looked at her wide-eyed while she was busy smirking at me.

Xavier too was looking at her like he wants to murder her. But he was having problem in keeping his eyes open.

Emilio came rushing towards us with the paramedics and Ace.

I saw Ace's worried look.

Emilio helped Xavier to the ambulance.

Ace eyes-widened when he saw the gun-shot wound on my leg.

"Oh mio piccolo bambina." Ace shouted rushing towards me.

He took me and lied me down on one of the stretcher.

And I fainted soon as the pain finally hit me.
