Rapunzel walked slowly through the well lighten hallways humming to herself a soft tune. Every day was a new story for her. She couldn't pass the walls of Corona but they were still enough fantasy inside to exite her for months!

She was living the life she'd always wished for! But feeling the weight of her long braid concerned her. Why was it there? She didn't know... And it scared her...

She walked to the garden at the backyard. She sat down as she felt the cool breez run through her hair and opened her journal.

-"Hey, Rapunzel! I was looking for you!"

Rapunzel turned around to see her best friend's face. Cassandra.

-"Hey Cass!"

Looking at the blond princess, Cassandra could tell some thing was wrong. She sat down next to her only trusted friend.

-"Raps, what's wrong?"

The blond shot her head up as nervously answering to her unamused friend.

-"What?! Nothing's wrong! Why would you think any thing is wrong? Pft!"

Rapunzel stopped her fake laughter as she saw that look in her friend's eyes and sighed.

-"Cass, how are we supposed to find out what's happened to me?"

The black haired girl's unamused look fell to a suprise and concerned one.

-"I mean, Cass, we know nothing about what happened! We don't know neither magic nor science! How are we supposed to find the answers?"

Rapunzel finished with a sigh. Cassandra was deep in thoughts with a deep frown. Looking at her, Rapunzel could tell she was in war with herself. And she knew that only happened when she was doubting a solution.

-"Cass, you know some one, don't you?"

Rapunzel looked at her friend with a questioning face. This time, it was Cassandra's turn to get nervous.

-"What? Noooo! How should I?"

Cassandra chuckled but of course she knew some one! She have met all of the people in Corona, usually because of solving a case to prove herself to her dad. So if any one knew who to go to, it was Cass.

And she had some one in mind. But she knew that probably wouldn't work. If king Fredrick find out, Cass was done. And she knew he won't be willing to help any way. But he was the only option she could thing of.

Cassandra let out a frustrated sigh while growling wich earned her a wierd confused look from Rapunzel.

-"What?!"

Rapunzel pulled a serious face looking at her friend.

-"Cass, who is on your mind?"

Cassandra knew she couldn't deny it any more. But she couldn't just tell her! Not like this and not untill she was sure. These all may cause a chaos in the whole kingdom! Starting with the royal family.

-"look, Raps, I'm still not sure about this. Lets just think for a while, okay?"

Rapunzel pushed her curiosty away and nodded not wanting to give her friend a hard time. Right then, Pete ran to them clumsily.

-"Cassandra! Cassandra!"

The dark haired girl stood up and looked at the panting gaurd.

-"What's wrong Pete?"

-"Your father! He told me to inform you that he need to see you! And he is really really mad!"

Cassadra looked at the princess and then at the gaurd and walked to the catle. She knocked the door to her father's office.

-"Come in."

She could read right through his calm voice that he was mad. She slowly opened the door, walked in and closed it before talking.

-"Dad? You wanted to see me?"

Captain turned to her with a frown.

-"Why did you disobeyed direct orders from the king?"

Cassandra was suprised by his satment. He didn't even answered her wich ment he didn't care. And what did he ment by that?

-"Dad, what do you-"

-"Don't play around Cassandra! You had direct orders to keep princess safe but I just got news that you broke her out to the forest two nights ago right before her coranation! How could you be so irresponsable?!"

Cassandra backed away a bit upon her father's sudden outburst.

-"Dad, I-"

-"I don't need to hear any of your excuses Cassandra! What if one of you got hurt?! What if some thing have happened?! What if king Fredrick finds out?! You can't just do whatever you want! It's not a game!"

Cassandra was angry now. 'He think I don't know that?!'

-"I'm well awar! I can protect myself and the princess! I-"

-"That's enough! You won't do any thing like that ever again! If king finds out, you'll be sent away! And this is the first and last time I won't inform them! You are dismissed!"

-"But-"

-"I said you are dismissed!"

Without answering, Cassandra left and slammed the door behind her. She walked angrily to her friend. Upon seeing her in so much rage, Rapunzel opened her mouth.

-"Cass, what happened?"

Cassandra looked up at the princess. If a reckless child was all her father see of her, then she'll be one!

-"We are going to some one for your hair."

Rapunzel followed her friend through the dark hallways trying to focuse her mind on the torch in Cassandra's hand. They walked through the dark hallways under the castle.

Prison. All the prisoners looked tough and huge. Some of them glared at them, some of them just glanced their way and some of them didn't pay the slightest attention.

All of this made a shiver go down her spine and she could feel Pascal hide in her hair. And the fact that hallways got darker to the point that the only light was their torch and the cells were empty at this point, didn't help her at all.

A few steps ahead of her, Cassandra stoped at the very last cell. Looking in through the light of the torch, she could see a small figure leaned to the wall.

She looked closer and was shocked when she found out it was a skinny boy with black hair and a blue strip sleeping.

-"Varian, wake up."

[(A/N: Hi! Since the prologue was too short and I can't sleep though it's 2 a.m., I wrote this! It had 1001 words! Yay! Hope you've enjoyed!)]
