Adding to the Nest

Start from the beginning

"Awe. Too bad it doesn't work unless he's wielding it." He says, plucking the feather from my hands and letting it float to the ground. He picks me up and starts walking out.

"Scream and I won't hesitate to kill that… parasite inside you." He threatens. I shut my mouth, silently hoping Keigo would swoop in and save me. Dabi carries me out the back door of the building and to a car. He lays me in the backseat and gets into the passenger seat.

"Drive." He says to the villain known as Twice.

"Right away sir!"

"No way dude!" He says. Dabi rolls his eyes as Twice speeds away. I sit up and sigh, trying my hardest not to have a panic attack.

~Keigo’s POV~

I sigh, dusting off my jacket and flying towards my home. I see blue smoke coming from the bedroom window and speed up.

"Baby bird." I whisper, flying in. Once I was inside, I ran to the bedroom, looking inside.

"Baby bird?!" I shout, not seeing her but instead seeing out nest up in flames… blue flames to be exact.

"Dabi." I hiss. I pull up my old friend's contact information and press call.

"Yes bird brain?" His familiar voice rasps.

"Don't play innocent with me burn boy."

"I don't know what you're talking about." He rasps.

"My wife. You stole her. Give her back." I growl.

"Oooh. That. Yeah, she's fine by the way. She came without much struggle. Of course I had to burn down the door because the little mouse tried to hide from me." He says, the sound of shuffling coming from the other side of the phone.

"Keigo! He threatened the baby!" My baby bird cries out through the phone.

"That's enough mouse." Dabi says, a slap sounding through the phone. My wings flared and puffed up, anger coursing through my veins.

"You bastard! Touch her again and I'll fucking kill you!" I shout, my whole body shaking with anger.

"I dare you pretty boy." He says, another slap coming from the phone. I growl and take flight.

"I will hunt you down. And I will kill you." I hiss, hanging up. I fly to the bar where the League’s hideout was, bursting through the door. The bar was empty, the only noise coming from the hum from the electricity.

"I'll kill the mother fucker." I hiss.

Weeks passed and I still hadn't found (Y/N). I've checked every hideout I know of, and I still can't find her. My phone rings, startling me out of my thoughts.

"Hello?"

"Still can't find me bird brain?" Dabi rasps.

"You fucker. Give. Her. Back."

"Tsk tsk tsk. Temper temper. I was just calling to let you know that the precious child of yours might actually be on the way. I'll give you the location and if you can take me out within an hour you can have her because I can't stand the crying noises those children make." Dabi says, relaying his coordinates before hanging up. I fly off quickly, landing in front of the building where Dabi was waiting outside.

"We're all the way in the country so house your quirk to its fullest extent. But don't hit your precious one." Dabi rasps, gesturing to (Y/N) who was obviously in pain, clutching her stomach. She looks at me and gives me a pleading look.

"Lets get this over with burnt chicken nugget." I say, rolling my shoulders. We both engage the other, fighting each other. I strike with my feathers, managing to graze Dabi. The fight continued until I finally had Dabi pinned, a razor sharp feather at his throat.

"Good job bird boy. I applaud you." Dabi says sarcastically. I punch him square in the face, stabbing him in the side.

"No one hurts my baby bird and gets away with it." I hiss, rushing over to (Y/N). I pick her up.

"Nonononono. I can't move right now." She says, tapping my shoulder. I set her down gently, trying to make her as comfortable as I could using my jacket to pad under her.

A few moments later, the sounds of our baby's cries filled the air and (Y/N) gasped softly in relief. I hand the child to (Y/N), smiling.

"You did amazing baby bird." I whisper, kissing her cheek gently.

"She's so beautiful… she looks like her daddy." (Y/N) whispers, holding our daughter close. I lift them both up, draping my jacket over our daughter.

"I'll stay low to the ground. Let's get you both to a hospital." I whisper, taking off. I fly slowly to the hospital, explaining what had happened. They take (Y/N) and the baby back, having me stay in the waiting room to make sure I wouldn't fight another doctor… probably the safest bet.
