Korain felt like a zombie, dragging himself through the school hallways. He didn't even remember how he had gotten home the night before. What all had happened again..? Korain remembered going home early from school, then his mom taking him to the doctor, then him falling asleep at home and then... Oh.
Korain's face went a bit pink as he remembered how he had gone to Cookout with Tiago. Wait, then that's probably how he got home. Tiago must've dragged him out to the car. Korain snickered to himself, pulling his mask back above his nose as it fell down.

BRRRRRRRRRRTTTT

Ah, crap. The bell.

Korain ran to his class, going in with the other late kids and managing to get into his seat before the teacher noticed him. The rest of his classes went accordingly, which was honestly boring, but Korain wasn't sure if he was mentally stable enough for the panic of any sort of drill or natural disasters. After almost five long hours, it was finally lunch time. Korain smiled ever so slightly when the bell rang. Lunch was the best time, since he could see Tiago for a while, and he got his energy back from eating.
When Korain walked into the lunchroom, the first person he saw was Tiago, who was in a heated argument with some girl. Korain didn't really wanna bother them, so he just went to grab his lunch. When he came back, they were still there although this time, they were probably the loudest ones in the whole lunch room.

"WOW. OKAY. ITS ALL MY FAULT THEN!?" Tiago screamed in frustration.

"AND WHAT IF I SAID IT WAS!?" The girl shouted back.

"UGH!! LOOK, YOURE THE ONE WHO'S TRYING TO GET BACK TOGETHER WITH ME, AND I DONT PARTICULARLY LIKE HOW YOU'RE TREATING ME!!" Tiago's face was red with embarrassment. It was obvious that his friends found this hilarious, even when Tiago himself did not.
Korain bit his lip and walked over to them, keeping a good distance, although sitting down in Tiago's line of sight. The older male immediately noticed Korain and his expression softened and his eyes seemed to brighten. He ignored any further shrieking from the girl and walked over to the Korean-American teen, sitting down beside him. "Hey! You get a good night's sleep? I had to carry you into your room last night." He laughed softly while Korain went bright red.

"Y-you what!? What did my mom say??" Korain asked frantically, hoping that his parents weren't weirded out. Tiago smiled. "Well, you know I can't understand her. But your dad thought that it was nice if me to do that." Korain sighed with relief and absentmindedly leaned slightly into Tiago, their shoulders pressing together. "So uhh... Who was that girl..?" Korain asked, wanting to hop off the subject of last night. "Oh nobody really. She used to be everything to me, but now she's just... Not..?" Tiago shrugged and Korain shrugged back. They talked about things like outer space, math class, how they weren't put into the same geometry class (Korain took Algebra 1 in 8th grade), and tried to see who knew more numbers of pi. Tiago won.

Eventually the lunch bell rang and we had to go back to class. Luckily there was only one left. Nice. As Korain was taking his things to be thrown away, Taiga came behind him and hugged him. "I'll see you later, Korain!" He said cheerfully, then running off with his friends, the chains on his jeans clinging together as he moved. Korain stood there for a few moments, his face red as he watched the older male casually walk off.
