"Stay in bed. You should be resting. I'll just take Lia with me at the office," I said to her.

"Don't you have an important meeting this morning," she asked concerned.

"Yes I do, I'll just have Laura watch her for a while."

She doesn't look happy with my decision. Disapproval is written all over her face.

I chuckled. "What's wrong with taking her with me?

"Well, poor mi hija will be bored to death, besides an office is not a good environment for a little girl like Lia," she said.

"I know, but I don't have a choice. I haven't found a new nanny yet," I said.

"Well, I have an idea. I mean, why don't I give Ara a call and ask her, if she could watch Lia for you," she suggested.

I groaned. This is the last thing I need right now. "I don't think that's a good idea," I said.

She looked at me funny and asked "Why not? I know her quite well. She is trustworthy and she is good with kids," she said.

"But...she's young and inexperienced," I said.

She smiled. "I'm sure she has quite a few experiences with kids. I'm pretty sure universities and colleges train their students well," she said. "Why don't you give Ara a chance. If she doesn't work out, I'll give her the boot, myself."

Well what else can I say to that? We were both quiet for a few moments.

I raked my fingers through my hair.

I was either a glutton for punishment, or I was simply insane, to consider giving Arabella a chance. She wasn't the kind of woman a man could easily ignore. Hell, I spent less than an hour with her and she was already wreaking havoc on my mind. No woman had ever had that kind of effect on me. Not even my wife. But, this is about my daughter's well-being. Besides, I was tired of the endless barrage of applicants coming to my house, only to be disappointed when either they were more interested in flirting with me, than the job or when Lia gave them the cold shoulder, time and time again.

I trust Evelyn and she truly believes that Arabella would be good for Lia then, perhaps I should listen to the old lady and give her a chance. Besides its only for a day or two right? What harm can it do?

"Alright, give her a call, but please be clear that it's only while you are sick," I said to her.

She nodded.

"Thank you Evelyn," I said before leaving.

Arabella

I woke up to my cell ringing. I answered it and Evelyn's voice greets me on the other end.

"Hi dear. I'm sorry if I woke you up," she said, her voice hoarse.

"It's quite alright. Is everything okay?? Are you okay? You don't sound very good," I said.

"I've got the flu and my body aches all over," she replied.

"Oh no-o. Is there anything I can do to help? I know Al's away, so, if there's anything at all, that you need, you know I'm here," I said to her.

I adore Evelyn. She has helped me and treated me as her own, /after my parents died. I will never forget that, and I will always be grateful.

"Well, yes mi hija, that's the reason I called. I need your help. Mr. Anastasi still hasn't found a nanny for Lia, so I'm the one looking after her right now, but since I'm sick, I don't think I should be around her. I mean I don't want to get her sick too, and honestly, my body is aching all over and I feel like I'm going to pass out if I stand. So I was hoping you could come over and watch over Lia for me," she asked.
