Chapter 3

George then looked at me like I had 3 heads, but seeing our state, he then looked much more determined.

George: right. I'll have my men get ready for battle. Leave your friend, we'll make sure her armor is replaced and ready to fight. You deliver the message to the Emperor and get both him and his daughter out of here

I nodded, before Tug started to gallop towards the castle.

Time skip

I leaped off of Tug, entering the castle of the Emperor.

I saw him on his throne, conversing with a few servants.
When he looked up and saw me, he motioned them away.

Emperor: Y/n, it is good you have come here. Have you agre-

Y/n: this is not the time Esden. We have a demon lord General and his army about o march on this city

The emperor is named Esden Deselliun. He is a fair emperor to the people and many times prioritizes others over himself. I would normally refer to him as "my Lord" or "My emperor", but under times of stress, I usually end up calling people by their names, no matter their title.

Esden: No, that is not possible. They've been dead for 5,000 years

Y/n: I didn't think that either, but I saw it with my own eyes. They brought back Reitalus to life and plan on leveling this city to show he's back

He looked a me confused then sighed.

Esden: then take my daughter and leave

Y/n: George told me to get both of you out of here

Esden: no. I will not leave until the rest of the city is safe. I will have my servants and personal guard make sure they are safe. Now please, get my daughter out of here

I looked at him before rushing off to find his daughter.

Time skip

I opened the door, seeing the Princess looking out the window.

Y/n: hey Princess

She turned around and her eyes widened upon seeing me.

Emily: Y/n!

she rushed me, hugging me tight.

Emily: did you finally accept?

Y/n; not the time. I'm here to get you out of the city

Emily: but why?

Y/n: demon lord general and hi army. The demon lord is alive. So follow me and we'll work stuff out another time

Emily went silent before nodding. 

So I then rushed out to find Tug, with Emily right behind me.

Time skip

Y/n: Trahitis!

I placed Emily onto Tug before jumping onto him myself. The attack had started, fireballs flying everywhere.

I was taking Emily out from the back.

Y/n: go Tug, go!

Tug immediately dashed forward, heading around the massive castle.

Luckily, it seemed the demon army was going for a frontal assault, with no flankers. Hopefully.

As I saw the entrance they had behind the castle, i sighed. We'd be fine.

And that hope was shattered almost immediately when it collapsed in white fire.

I stopped Tug and I knew the only exit was the front.

???: Ranger!!!

I looked to the voice, seeing a white haired male. To match his hair, he wore light armor, which was painted white. He also wore had a white mask, similar to that of a bug(this falmer helmet from skyrim). His right hand held a white blade with a black hilt. His left hand held a dragon shaped staff, colored a light grey. It held white fire within it's mouth.

???: I am the Demon Lord Dalgokoth! I have come to bring you to our lord Ranger!

I dismounted Tug, leading him a bit away.

Y/n: no matter what happens to me, stay here. Run when you can

Emily: but-

Y/n: just do it

I the turned and walked towards the demon general. I took out my bow, notching an arrow and aiming it.

Y/n: you'll have to kill me first!

Dalgokoth: Normally I would. But our lord has greater plans for you, that you'll wish you were dead
