"There they are! Don't let them escape!"

I felt Jeremy grip getting tighter at every minute we're escaping. "Fuck!" He cursed when he turned into a dead end. "Shit. Val, stay here, I'll get their attention away from here so you could escape." He said while carefully placing me on the ground. I grabbed his hand. "N-No, t-they w-want me, n-not y-you. J-Just r-re-group with the others and t-try to e-escape w-while they're busy with m-me." I said. Jeremy chuckled. "Don't say that Val. We vowed to Code to save you at all cost. I'm not sacrificing you just to escape and the group wouldn't want that either. They'll kill me if I went back without you, and didn't you already executed your plan?" He said before slowly taking my hands off his and running outside to catch our pursuers attention.

"There he is! Catch that bastard!"

When the noises subdued I tried my best to stand up and find the exit. After an whole hour of playing hide and seek with the guards I finally found a door that could lead to my escape. I was about to open the door when I heard voices coming from the room, I was about to run away when I heard a familiar voice.

"Everything is according to your plan Rem. What do you would they reaction be when we sabotage their plan?"

"Shut your mouth, Von. I'm in no mood to talk to you."

The one called Von chuckled. "I agreed with all of this Rem but if my baby get hurt because of this I'm ditching you."

"Von, are you stupid? Of course she would get hurt with this plan. And aren't you the first one to hurt her?"

After the guy Rem retorts I heard a loud bang from the inside. I was startled when I saw a dent on the iron door I was leaning on.

"I'm not gonna accept hearing that from your filthy mouth Rem, you traitorous bastard."

Rem chuckled. "Oh if I'm one traitorous bastard aren't you a traitor too, Von? Using that innocent girl to shield you from Zero radar? I'm not the only traitorous bastard here Von."

I heard another loud sound from inside beforenI heard someone walking towards the door. I nearly stumbled on my feet when I got up to hide in a pillar near the door. When the door opened I was dumbfounded to have my prediction correct.

I closed my eyes tightly before a tear started to rush down my face. After closing the door behind him a guard came rushing to him. "Rem is inside." He said before walking pass it but before he could pass the guard, the guard shouted. "Sir! The Navarro's brother and Zero's group are outside the labratory! They already killed half of our soldiers!" He stopped in his track before turning back at the already opened door and a topless man step outside with a smirk on his face. He pulled the knife hanging on the guards belt and cut himself in the middle of his chest and arms. "What do you think, Von? Is this alright?" He asked not minding his bleeding arm and chest. Von nodded. "That's good enough. Let's go before they started killing all of the guards and soldier here. We have to find Val too, because of your stupidity we lost her, Rem. Why did you even left her side?"

Rem shrugged. "I needed her to believe me Von. She's already suspicious of me, I don't want her to ruin my plan."

"What could she do anyway. She's a Code that lost all of her memories and now she's injured to the point she can't even walk properly." Von coldly said.

Rem chuckled at Von's remark before excusing himself and calling a group of five guards to chase him down the exit. On the other hand Von started to move on his own and vanished like a shadow. I can't help myself when I heard their conversation. Coming from the two person I'm all familiar with.

How could they do this to us? And the fact they knew I'm suspicious of them but they carried on with their plan. How can they deceived us like this? What did we even do? I let myself cried for a whole minute before composing myself and started to move. It's time to turn the tables on them. I'm not letting those precious people on me betray me again. Even if I have to sacrifice myself to get this plan work I would do it! Just you wait, I'm still not defeated. I'm still standing and kicking, I didn't lose yet. I still have a chance. With that in mind I started to endure the pain I'm feeling while trying to find Prof. Kellen office tp execute our counter.
