Sexuality

Sexuality. Something that Amani had been hiding for a total of six years. Amani hated it. She wasn't a homophobe, she just was raised that way. She was raised by two Christian parents, who believed that being gay was a sin. And those who are a part of it and support it, should die. Don't get her wrong, she loved her parents. But she just felt out of place in her own household. She felt abnormal.

Chun-hei on the other hand was a korean-american female that never even thought about her bestfriend being lesbian, let alone bisexual. She was happy with her 5-year relationship with her boyfriend, Sang Jeon. She loved him, they cherished their relationship. They were happy, the exact opposite of Amani. Chun-hei and Sang met through their parents.  Their parents thought that they would be perfect together. And they were. They had been together for 5 years, so it was a solid relationship. But no relationship was perfect. They had their holes.

Amani and Chuni-hei were currently sitting in the park, talking.

"How are you and Sang?" Amani asked. She had always been jealous of the man. He was in a relationship with her best friend and the person she had romantic feelings for after all.

"We're not doing so great. Sang's dad just passed away and he's been quiet ever since. It's like her has this wall around him that he won't let me pass." Chung-hei hadn't noticed the tear that fell from her left eye. Amani reached over and wiped her tear away.

Amani was sad for her friend, but happy at the same time. If they were to break up, she'd actually have a chance. Her thoughts were wrong. She shouldn't have been thinking like that. She should support her friend no matter what feelings she felt.

"Don't worry he'll come around, just give him some more time. It's hard to deal with a loss. You should just give him some space for a little while." Amani stared into her beautiful brown eyes, hypnotized by her beauty.

"You're right, he'll come around." Chun-hei hugged her best friend. "I'm so happy to have you as a friend!" She gave Amani one of her signature closed-eye smiles. Chun-hei was happy.

But Amani was not. She had just been friend-zoned by the person she loved for years. But she had to stay happy for her. If Chun-hei was happy then she would be happy.

If Chun-hei was happy then she would be happy
