Part 13

~ At Home ~

Kennedy's pov

we walked inside expecting to be greeted by Noah and Charlie but instead, we walked in to see Charlie asleep on one couch and Noah on the other.

 Ash walked over and picked Charlie up and carried Charlie to their room, Julian being the one to lose in rock paper scissors went over and picked up Noah and bring him to his room leaving the rest of us waiting in the living room.

"That was odd" Y/n spoke breaking the silence

"What do you mean?" Barron said looking troubled

I then realized what she was referring to "I believe she's talking about how they are asleep, normally Charlie refuses to sleep until Y/n or I am here, It's a caution thing"

returning to the living room was Ash holding Charlie's cat "He tried to jump on Charlie's face so I figured I'd bring him out here"

Shortly after followed Julian who then sat on the couch as he spoke "So, what do we do now?"

"We carry on with our lives I guess, I mean Barron is old enough to move out with someone so his parents can't force him to go back" Ash spoke up

Smiling we all sat down and watched Coraline waiting for the two to wake up

Ash pov

About an hour into watching Coraline i felt someone sit down beside me quietly and taking the cat from my lap.

Barron pov

I looked over to see that Charlie had woken up, at least halfway at least, and was leaning on Ash while petting the cat.

Y/n pov

"What are we doing for dinner?" I asked trying to get Charlie to speak

Charlie stared at the ground quietly so I elbowed Barron to talk to them

Barron pov

Y/n elbowed me to try and get Charlie's attention so I looked over at them and went "Hey Charlie what's your cat's name?"

I watched as Charlie jumped, I probably startled them 

"Barron?" they said confused 

"We went and got him and you and Noah had been asleep when we got back" Kennedy spoke up

"Oh okay welcome home Barron" Charlie replied

"Well, what's your cat's name," I asked again trying to get them to speak a bit more and wake up

"His name is Jasper" Charlie smiled a little and then looked back down to the cat sitting in their lap

Kennedy pov

"Hey Charlie do you wanna go help me make dinner, or we could go out to get something if you'd prefer," I asked

"We can go get food... I'm tired" Charlie replied 

Y/n pov

I walked over to Charlie and said "why so gloomy?"

"I don't wanna wake up from this dream," Charlie said staring me in the eyes

"You're awake Charlie," I said

I watched as Charlie's eyes shot open wider and smiled

Julian pov

"So, what are we having?" I asked

Ash replied "I don't really care as long as it's not McDonald's again"

Charlie spoke up "How about... We get Subway?"

"I'm down" Y/n replied sitting back down beside Barron

the rest of them just nodded as Kennedy got up grabbing a notepad and passing it to Y/n "Write down what you want and then pass it on to the next person"

and so they did

Charlie and Kennedy then left, bringing Jasper with as Charlie insisted that he had to go because it would be a good bonding experience and Kennedy gave in.
