Lisa's POV

"Will you really take the project?" Jisoo asked me

"I mean... I'm already leaving " I said, I don't know why she's still asking if I'm gonna take the project when I'm already packed up and ready to go to the airport

"Just don't be too stupid" Jisoo said worriedly making me nod as I chuckle

"It's been 5 years, it's either she can already forgive me or she's gonna throw me back here in Thailand" I said jokingly which doesn't even earn a laugh from Jisoo

"Chaeyoungah wants to say bye to you too" she said pulling out her phone to FaceTime Chaeyoung since she's in Korea. In just a couple of seconds she picked up and Jisoo turn her phone to face me

"Lisayah good luck" she said with a smile on her face

"Don't smile at me I still have a crush on you" I said smirking playfully which makes her chuckle

"I mean I can't blame you" she said not taking my joke too seriously. For the past couple of years Chaeyoung and I have been really good friends and she somehow got close to most of my friends too "anyway Im just here to send you off, I need to go to work right away. Bye bye" she said waving her hand so I did the same before she end the call

"I'll text you and Seulgi don't worry" I said pulling my luggage. I turn around to look for Seulgi, she didn't even see me out

"She's still sleeping, she doesn't want to wake up" Jisoo said. During these past 5 years Irene is still in contact with Jennie but for some reason she's having a hard time talking to me. She told me and all our friends not to ask about Jennie nor Ella cause Jennie said so. Actually Seulgi once pushed Irene to spill something but that caused a fight between them since Irene already told us not to ask such stuff since she's not in the position to do so

"I'll go now, bye bye" I said which makes Jisoo nod before I walk out to get into a taxi.

I've been living here in Thailand for 5 years. Jisoo and Seulgi sometimes stay at my house whenever they'll come here in Thailand and since they're both on break from their works they decided to stay here.

For the first 3 years since Jennie and Ella left, I constantly send Jennie letters for my apologies. Every single day for 3 years. I'll also send gifts during their birthdays and special occasions but I never got any response or reply from them. Some people may think that it is too much or I'm being a fool but it's not like we have the same feelings nor do they know how I really feel. I completely understand Jennie, it is my fault and I know that. After 3 years I suddenly get banned from sending them any letters or gifts which shocked me. I think Jennie was the one who asked them to keep me from sending anything more.

My friends told me to let Jennie have her space for now. I did gave her that and focused on working for 2 years as a photographer. And then last month one company which is based in LA gave me a project to work with them. I actually considered it immediately knowing that both Jennie and Ella are there. I even know their address since I've been sending the letters there. When I told my friends about it, they're worried and scared at the same time. I told them I'll focus on the project and see Jennie if possible. Out of everyone from our group of friends, Irene was the toughest one. She told me no for so many times, I asked for an explanation and she won't give any. I told her that I'll be fine but she still has a worried and scared expression when I last saw her. But right now, I'm gonna go there and that's final.

When I arrived at the airport I walk in and go straight to the plane since I'm right on time so I don't really have to wait. Once I settled down I feel like I want to squeal in happiness, cry because I miss them and pee on my pants cause I'm actually scared. All those emotions came rushing through me but since it is a long flight I just sleep as much as I can.

When I arrived in LAX, I seriously think that I will throw up cause of my mixed emotions. First of all I want to prepare my face in case Jennie wants to slap me but hopefully she won't end up doing that. I hail a cab and gave him the address where Jennie lives. Apparently it's an apartment in LA. I did some research and it is pretty expensive but I know that Jennie transfered to a hospital around their place so she's still a doctor out here. I heard that Ella's also attending a private school. That's everything I know, I don't want to be creepy enough to the point where it will make Jennie uncomfortable and I'm trying my best to step back a bit.

For at least an hour of drive because of the traffic, we arrived at the building. I grab my luggage and walk towards the counter. Since I already talked to them on phone they just asked for my ID and all that stuff before giving my apartment passcode. I don't know what their apartment number is but I can just ask around.

"You're the new one?" An old lady asks when I reached the floor. I nodded my head and offer my hand politely

"Yes, I'm Lisa. Nice to meet you" I said so she grab my hand to shake it lightly

"Nice to meet you Lisa, just call me Cory like everyone else in this building does" she said making me smile as I nod my head

"Oh may I ask you something?"

"Sure thing "

"Do we have like kids on this floor like a kid with a single mom kind of figure" I said which makes her squint her eyes as she thinks

"A single mom?" I nodded which makes her think more "I'm not quite sure dear"

"Well this may sound weird but is there an Asian mom and daughter here?"

"That's very specific of you" she said chuckling making me chuckle as well "you're talking about Jennie right? They do stay here" she point towards a door which is not quite far from my apartment "do you know them? I was confused when you said single mom" oh she probably knew that Jennie's not Ella's real mom if she's really that close with every people on this floor

"Yeah.. you can say that.. I do know them, but it was a long time ago since we last saw each other" she nod her head in understanding

"It's weekend so they are probably home, pay them a visit later. As for me, I need to go back in. I'm too old to stand here for too long" she does look like someone who's in her 60s or 70s

"I'll invite you in next time when I clean up already" I said politely before she walk in. I put my luggage and stuff inside and unpacked first. I have so many stuff with me so it took me an hour or so to unpack everything. In all honesty I can't even think straight right now. While I'm cleaning I ordered a flower and made sure to grab those gifts that I bought for Jennie and Ella before going here in LA.

I have so much in my hands but I was able to go out just fine. There are no people in the hallway so it's easier for me to walk towards the apartment number that Cory pointed earlier. I breathe in and out for a couple of times before I decided to ring the doorbell. After a couple of seconds the door open up slightly and there's a man leaning down like he's fixing the shoes on the door way

"Is Jennie there?" I said without even thinking

"No she's at work, I'm her husband do you need anything?" I seriously want the floor to swallow me right now. The man stand back up before opening up the door widely
