"There's no possible way she's a slytherin. It's not bloody possible."

Reigna turned her head, sure that the girl that it came from was the mousy looking one on the other side of the library. She caught her eye immediately, and held back a grin at the sight of the girl's try hard smirk. The girl clearly wanted to make her feel inferior. Walking over, she kept calm, it's not as though she hadn't dealt with bullies before. Girls were mean, especially when they thought that they were one of a kind.

The library was massive. Grand columns and seemingly endless cases of books that went on and on. It was a wonder how she even managed to hear her through the great length of the space.

Nothing wrong with being friendly. Never is.

"Hi, I'm new, obviously. My name is-"

"I couldn't care less actually. All you need to know is that I'm Pansy, and I don't like you." Her friends snickered at her response. Obviously friendly wouldn't be working with these girls. Yet, that didn't mean she would stoop down to their level. Pureblood ego was something entirely different than common ego.

"Aren't you girls charming, I sense a real bond." Reigna smiled at them, not wanting them to see her falter. "As I was saying, I'm Reigna Kane." She said, trying to be nice, even if they were making it so, so extremely hard to do so.

It was Pansy, that slapped her hand out of the way and snickered.

"You just don't give up, do you? how pathetic! wait until Draco sees you, oh I just can't wait until he makes you cry," and at that note, she turned and began laughing along with her posse, and Reigna rolled her eyes, turning to walk away from them. She didn't need anyone's boyfriend targeting me, especially not a girl like Pansy.

"He's so fit!" She heard as she turned away. Of course he was. It was always the fit ones that went for the vile ones. They craved the validation.

It was as she was leaving the grand library that she bumped into a girl, a little taller than herself. Light brunette, and her hair was a bit messy. Gorgeous regardless.

"I'm so sorry, that was all me!" She said before extending her hand out for Reigna to shake, "I'm H-"

"Hermione! That's not fair! You cheated!" She heard over her shoulder, and she turned around to see a tall ginger headed boy and a lanky brunette making their way over to them.

The girl laughed, rolling her eyes. "I'm Hermione. That's Ron, and that's Harry" She said, pointing over to her friends.

"You're the new girl, aren't you?" Said the ginger, elbowing Harry as he said that, raising an eyebrow as well. Hermione smacked his arm at that. "Stop trying to set Harry up with everyone, he likes Ginny, leave it at that!" She said to him, clearly teasing. Harry laughed, his cheeks tinged pink.

"I'm Reiigna, and yes, I am the new girl" She said with a smile. They seemed nice. A  lot nicer than the girls from the library. She noticed their uniforms and it made sense why. Gryffindor.

"You should join us in the woods later! Some of the younger years want to put on a talent show of sorts, it'll be quite cute," Said Hermione with a smile, taking Ron's hand in her own.

"I'll see you then," Reigna said to them, waving as she turned away from them and towards where she would be living for the next year, not too upset from what happened earlier anymore.

There wasn't anyone in the common room when she got there. It was thundering outside, and she had never felt more at home. That was, until she got to her bedroom.

There was a boy there, a boy that was quite tall. She wouldn't have even noticed him if it weren't for the fact that he was by the massive window that originally caught her attention. She cleared her throat, because it was obvious he wasn't aware of her presence. He turned his head, and she was immediately met with some of the prettiest eyes she'd ever seen. Pretty, but practically like a void.

"And you'd be?" He asked, eyebrow raised

"Shouldn't I be asking you that question? You're the one in my room." She said, mimicking his eyebrow. He nodded slowly, as if that was the answer he needed.

"I've been trying to get this room for bloody years, and all of a sudden, the new girl shows up and snatches it right out of my grasp" He mumbled to himself, clearly annoyed with a situation that was clearly out of both of our control.

"Because of the rain, right? The way it looks through the window. Like you're floating through it." She said, stepping closer to the strange, cold looking boy. He turned to her, and he looked very, very confused. either that, or extremely angry. He took a deep breath, nodding. "Yeah, I love it too." She said, standing next to him by the windowsill, looking outside.

"I wish the smell of rain lingered forever," she continued to talk, because she doubted that he would do so anytime soon. She was wrong.

"As do I, new girl" He mumbled, taking a look out the window and then taking a step back.

"I'm Regina. You're welcome to watch the rain from this window anytime. With permission of course,"

She tried smiling at him, but she had never seen such an emotionless face looking back at me. He laughed, or, it wasn't much of a laugh. It was short, and sounded like he was mocking her.

"Excuse me?" She asked, crossing her arms.

He turned away from her, walking towards the door, clearly not intending on staying around any longer. "Reigna loves the rain, how ironic" he said as he left, his voice fading out.

She rolled her eyes, "Bye to you too, blondie" She muttered, beginning to put all her things away. He didn't seem too bad, but at this school, you could never know.
