CHAPTER 25

“Do you take thee, Caileigh Federigo, as your lawful wedded wife, from this day forward? For better or for worst, for richer or poorer, for sickness and in health, ‘til death do you both parts?” the priest asked.
“I do, father” Rance answered, while holding Caileigh’s hands.
Then the priest looked at Caileigh “Do you take thee, Rance Emanuel Villafuerte, as your lawful wedded husband, from this day forward? For better or worst, for richer or poorer, from sickness and in health, ‘til death do you both parts?”

Caileigh glanced at her parents who are now crying and holding each other. Her mother was being embraced by her father who is now looking at her intently as if telling her something through his mind.
“I’m sorry” her father mouthed.

She sweetly smiled at her father and mouthed “I will be okay”

“Miss Federigo?”

“Caileigh”

Her attention was once again on the person in front of her who is looking directly to her eyes and held her hand tightly.

“I… I…”

"Wait Father, I'll just talk to my fiance" nakangiting saad ni Rance sa pari. Lumapit ito bahagya sa kanya at itinapat ang bibig sa tenga nito "Remember what we talked about last night? About your parents? That's not a joke, it's a threat"

"You asshole, no one deserves you" matapang na sagot nito kay Rance

"Caileigh" the guests eyes went to Caileigh's mother "run" she mouthed

Caileigh nodded and looked at Rance

"I don't"

Everyone gasped but all of them are on Caileigh's side. Most of them are just Rance colleagues, his parents weren't there.

She run to the open doors but Rance ordered his men to close it. It was almost close but she managed to get outside

Down the stairs is their driver

They drove fast, away from the small church, but Rance men along with him are railing them

She thought it would be just be a wild chase but that thought vanished when she heard gun shots behind them

Mataas na lupa ang pinagmulan nila, so it'll be a long ride to the bottom

She heard something exploded and then their vehicle started swing from left to right. "Ma'am! Kapit!" tarantang sambit ni Kuya Jose. And before she knew it, death was ready to  welcome them at the end of the cliff

Caileigh was panting when she woke up, she instantly sat on the hospital bed and beside her was Yohan who was sitting on a chair,  holding her hand, sleeping. He woke up when he felt Caileigh moved

"Are you okay?" he ask in concern when he saw Caileigh's reaction

Caileigh burst into tears when she remembered what happen before and what happened just now. For her, it was her fault why Kuya Jose and Nanay Chichay died.

"It... It was my... It was my fault!" she said repeatedly. Yohan embraced her tightly with one hand, the other was holding her other hand

"No, love. It's not your fault. Listen to me. Death is inevitable. Nanay Chichay will never be forgotten, we will seek justice for her, and for you" he was gently caressing her hair

Caileigh started looking around the room.

"W-where are the others?" Caileigh asked

"Rhianne and Chandler are taking care of the transportation that we will use... " Caileigh cuts him off
