Chapter1: First Day on campus

My small stand up clock that has a galaxy background showed the time being seven twenty past before I had to leave home which I almost didn't want to. Today is the day that I leave my home and enter the big world, closely becoming a young adult. Closely.

Besides being beyond the moon happy and feeling so honoured to be accepted at KAU which I have dreamt about since the ninth grade. That has come true by the end of May.

There were a few times when I thought that this day was just another daydream where I was sitting in Mr Tornadoes' maths class, although I knew that this day would come eventually, even though it still feels unreal to me.

King Arthur University (KAU) is the biggest and well known university in Los Angeles, they focus on science, technology, sports and arts courses such as drama, music, filming, dance etc.
Packing my last bag with most of my things out of my room was quite hard for me. The thought that I was leaving my four purple walls of wonderland where everything I needed was found here.

My bedroom is a close treasure to my heart like shoes are treasures to most girls. Just to think that I was about to leave this room, this place that has been known to be my home was amazing and frightening at the same time. If I wanted a space to myself, I would be here, if I wanted to cry without anyone noticing, I would be here.

My dreams and secrets are written on each wall which only I could read off from like a secret diary that no one knows of. My bedroom might be the only room of this entire house that I'm gonna miss the most since I'll be sharing a dorm room with a stranger soon.

"Jennifer, come on cupcake, it's time to go." I heard my Dad call me from downstairs at seven twenty five which meant that my alone time in my room has sadly ran out for me.

Fifteen minutes of sitting in my room and just wrapping my mind around the fact that I'll only be in this room during the holidays or whenever I won't be busy writing tests, essays or having lectures.

I was already dressed, had most of my things packed that I thought about taking with me, I still had a few minutes to be in my room before leaving the house. I got up from my bed, grabbed my bags, locked the door since it's my room and climbed down the stairs before walking through the front door.

After packing my three bags of clothes, five boxes of belongs into my Dad's car truck, my oldest and only sister Rebecca Alawna Hawkins was going through 'her' list when saying, "Alright Jenna, you got your toothbrush, hairbrush, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, towels, face cloth. . . . . What else am I forgetting?"

I chuckle at my perfectionist sister who is a brilliant doctor. Who works at Luke Medical Hospital which is one of the top hospitals in Los Angeles. Which is about two and half an hour away from the campus.

Yet she's the one who was being so nervous for my first day at university which is beyond funny and cute of her, "Becca, I have doubled check everything, you don't need to stress about anything more than me."

Rebecca let out a defeated sigh before her intense shoulders started to become more relax while pulling this slight sad face, "Sorry, it just that it's your first day at University and I feel so old."

I laughed and cooed at her ridiculousness before giving her a sisterly hug. Now counted as the tenth hug that we've been giving each other for the whole day.
My sister was anything, but old, she has a successful career, is married to a respectable, personal trainer with two kids in her late twenties and still looks amazing like our Mom. So, her calling herself old is unheard of.

Dad smiled teasingly, shaking his head, then gave my overly dramatic sister a side hug, "Oh dear, my eldest daughter thinks she's turning grey as her little sister heads to university. What a man have to bear!"
