Sighing, I opened up lightly to get her to understand what's going on in my head. "Being so close in age with Amelia, was always hard on me growing up. People always compared us, our peers, teachers, you and dad." I trailed off, sparing the tiniest look to mom's guilty face before sighing and redirecting my eyes back to my plush carpet.

"Boys always liked Amelia first, and if for some reason they liked me first they still chose her." I released a quiet sigh before whispering, "I was never enough."

She sighed sadly, "You are worth so much." Not bothering to argue with her because there would be no point, I settled with letting out a shaky breath.

"So, when Kevin chose her." I trailed off, clapping my hands together. My mom sat in silence before she responded as she stood up. "Remember, hate is such a strong negative feeling that the more you feel it, the more it consumes you and soon it overtakes your whole being."

I didn't need to reply, for she was already walking out the door.

How can I not hate them? I hate them because now I have to wonder for the rest of my life why I wasn't good enough. My sister, my own blood was my best friend and she still kissed my boyfriend.

Did I really mean nothing to them? The two people that were supposed to be there for me. She grinned in my face everyday, I told her everything. Feeling sick, hunger no longer present- I found myself back outside, the cold glass sitting firmly between my hands.

I was completely aware of the new company, extending my arm behind my back, passing the bong. I only glanced back when someone took it from my grasp. I turned my neck just in time to see Ryan come shoving Aria out of the way, who scoffed in turn as she stumbled slightly? shooting him the stink eye. This caused me to laugh loudly with a head shake.

The two of them, instantly brought my mood up as they both sat comfortably on the cool cement. "Can I stay at your house for a couple of days?" I shot a look at Aria who only nodded with her smile twinkling as bright as the stars that now littered the dark sky.

"Even better, how about we go to a rave?" I threw my body back dramatically with a sigh, "Oh my gosh, yes! It's been too long!"

I was a very dramatic person, I knew this. Aria, knew this; we all knew this.

"You act like it's been years, you went to one last month?" Ryan questioned as he spoke while exhaling the smoke towards me. I stuck my tongue out at him as Aria replied for me, "Yeah, but that was last month, this is this month." We rolled our eyes as if he had the audacity to even speak.

We laughed lightly as he pouted, passing the device to Aria's extended hand. "Ry, would you like to take a break from adulting and come to a rave with us." He sighed heavily and a bit too dramatically for my liking, "I wish I could, baby sister, but the big boss man won't allow any days off so I can take acid with my sister and her best friend." Aria choked on her laugh as she exhaled the smoke, causing me to laugh harder and pat her back aggressively.

"Could you imagine?" A fit of coughs erupted from her lungs as she continued, "The look on Uncle Ace's face, if you actually asked like that?" My body thrusted backwards as I choked on my laughter at the image of my fathers face.

"Well, who's going to babysit us then?" I exclaimed dramatically and he shook his head with a shrug. "You act as if all the hippies that go to those things won't be tripping absolute fucking balls." Aria and I pulled our shoulders up into a shrug, simultaneously as we uttered our agree in reply.

"Anyways," Aria drew out, handing the bong back to me as she continued, "I mentioned it because I joined a facebook page about it and thought it would be a good time at meeting some people from the area, you know?" I nodded in understanding, as I exhaled and replied, "Rave's are my happy place you know this." I gave her a pointed look as she held her hands in mock surrender.

"Yeah, yeah. I know." She waved her hands dramatically causing me to shake my head. "Is it soon?" She nodded her head, "Yeah, this weekend." I nodded, feeling my heart squeeze with excitement. I gushed about it, Aria joining in.

I didn't notice Ryan, until he set the bong down and stood, "You guys always do this. I'm always excluded so I'll go. Don't worry! I get it!" He called out dramatically with a pout. I grabbed a loose pebble and chucked it at him causing him to giggle like a child.

"You have the audacity to call us dramatic." I yelled out after him, his laugh wafting throughout my room and back to us. We shook our heads, smiles spread across both of our lips.

"A child." Aria muttered and I laughed with her after the statement left her mouth.
