Chapter 27

(Ava's POV)
"Ryan?" I turn around to Katie

"Yes?"

"Could you help me out, up front? Table three through six?" I nod grabbing the plates for table three first. It was breakfast foods for a happy old couple, I walk out holding the plates heading the table

"Hello, how are y'all this beautiful morning?" I ask with a sweet smile as I set their plates in front of them

"Good, thank you dear. How is you're morning?" She says with a big smile on her face

"Amazing" I tell her "Anything else you need?"

"No but thank you" I nod and walk back to the counter to pick up table fours food.

Soon I was getting food for table six, which was a big table. Looks about five people, I look over and see a group of guys. Just what I want to deal with

"Hey Katie, I need help" I call as she gets back from doing her last table

"Ok, hold up" she picked up three of the plates as I grabbed two

We started walking over and they were all talking and messing around. As I got closer, I recognized three of them quickly. Zack, Tom, and....

'Lucas'

I held my breath as we stopped at their table

"Hello. Who had the kid's meal, with pancakes and bacon?" Katie asked, a kid with spiked blonde hair and hazel eyes raised his hand with a sheepish smile

"You are such a kid" Tom shock his head

"The steak and eggs with a side of hash browns"

Zack raised his hand along with a boy that had black hair and brown eyes. I placed the two plates I had in front of them. We went and placed the rest of the plates in front of everyone else. Throughout the rest of the time the group was here I could catch Lucas and some of the other guys staring at me, of course I did not let them know I knew they were staring at me. Katie had come up to me a few times and was telling me they were staring at me

Eventually they got up, paid and left. Katie and I split the tip which was fifty each. She had told me that this is the place they come every Friday night. Speaking of tonight, Jake had booked me a fight with someone named the wolf. He was a big build guy, but apparently could not fight to save his life. Which is kind of funny seeing he is kind of literally fighting for his life

(Later that night)
I slipped into a pair of black leggings and sports bra with some Nike shoes. I grabbed my black leather jacket and car keys heading down my apartment stairs. I climbed into my black 2006 Ford F-150 truck. I pull out of the parking lot and head downtown to the fight club. I pull up and pull into an open spot. I climb out and pull in my leather jacket

I walk over to the door and open it up to see people everywhere screaming and placing bets on whoever was in the ring. I walk over to a corner where there are not many people and lean on the walk, with my foot up and my arms crossed. I had my sunglasses on. I know it is a dark room, but I plan on taking them off in the ring. I look around and freeze when I see three awfully familiar faces.

'I knew they would be here'

I watch all the fights, the only one I thought could have potential was a girl probably sixteen named Oryn. She honestly reminded me of Callie when she was getting good at fighting. I look down and whip my cheek, a tear had slipped, and you cannot show weakness in a place like this. I looked up when the announcer said the fight was over

"Now for the wolf to fight our new fighter, Shadow!"
There was a lot of screaming. I straightened myself and started walking to the ring. People parted way for me

"Grrrr" the big guy they call the wolf literally growled as I climbed in the ring

'What is he doing' I question in my head

"Y'all know the rules. Hey Shadow" I look over at him "You know the rules? Also, you going to take the glasses and jacket off"

I nod pulling of my leather jacket off and slowly taking my sunglasses off, throwing it all of it out of the ring and I watched out of the corner of my eye, Jack caught them. I quickly went into a fighting stance. Everyone could see my stomach, which did not bother me

I stare at the guy and wait for him to make a move. I was studying him, as I believe his is. Then out of nowhere there were gun shots
