In the dark, I wake up
In the light, I sleep
Why, why is this all happening to me?
Nightmares.
One word, but with so much meaning
Scary, dark, sad, alone, frightening
Nightmares.
Filled with so much emotion
It messes with my head, makes it fill with commotion
Nightmares.
Makes me afraid of everything
Makes me want to stick with anyone, I feel ashamed of being a cling
Nightmares.
Needing peace
I want this to stop, needing this to cease
Nightmares.
Makes me a whole lot breathless
I keep on thinking about it, makes me feel so senseless
Nightmares.
Makes everything seem triggering
The memories will be stuck in my head forever, it will stay lingering
Nightmares.
