Ch.16: Aftermath

After Tom had been destroyed, Harry approached Y/n seemingly lifeless body and watch as Fawked landed beside him and began to shed tears onto the holes on Y/n's body. The holes began to close and Y/n started to breathe slowly but he was still unconscious. Harry sighed in relief and sat in exhaustion then suddenly Ginny got up and walked over to Harry

"Harry. It was me! But I swear, I didn't mean to... Riddle made me. He wrote to me... took me over... I didn't even know whose diary it was. I found it inside my cauldron. The day we all went to Diagon Alley" Ginny stated frantically

"Ginny. You need to get yourself out... Follow the chamber... You'll find Ron"

Suddenly the sound of running footsteps was heard at the end of the path. Harry stood up and put his arm over Ginny but then eased off when he saw that Jade, Ray, and Snape had entered

"I told it worked" Jade said

"What are you guys doing down here?" Harry asked

"We used Y/n pendant as a tracker to find him down here" answered Ray

"The potion worked" Snape muttered walking over to Y/n

"You guys knew we would be down here?"

"It was an assumption" Ray admitted

"Since the events of last year. We had suspicion that you lot would get involved in trying to figure out the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets and we were right" Jade as Ray walked over to Y/n and picked him up. "We were using Y/n's pendant to track him for a while incase anything happened. And when we saw that Y/n was somewhere that we've never been... we down we came. Moaning Myrtle explained that the opening on the sink is where you all came down. And we saw Ron and Lockhart on our way here"

"You saw my brother!?" Ginny smiled

"Yes. All of you did great out there so go and get out of here. We'll take care of Y/n"

"Ok then" Harry nodded. "Take care of him"

"Of course"

Harry and Ginny, followed by Fawkes, left the others and headed for the exit. Ray carried Y/n back to Snape's office where he was laid on the ground

"Look at his arm" Jade pointed

"The Death Mark" said Ray examining

"This is bad. Very bad"

"What are gonna do Professor?" Asked Ray

"We'll worry about that later. For now we have to make sure he can even wake up" Snape said gathering materials. "That venom is still coursing through his blood"

Ray and Jade stood up and began to help Snape make the antivenom for Y/n

"But wouldn't have Fawkes healed him with the tears?" Asked Jade

"Yes however the venom is much stronger and is acting faster than the tears used to heal him" Snape answered

"How will the potion help if a mythical creature's tear won't?" Ray asked

"Fawkes has made it easier for our magic to help Y/n. The potoin isn't going to make the venom in L/n's blood go away rather it's going to make it weaker and less potent" Snape explained

"I see. Are you sure it will work?" Jade asks

"If it doesn't Y/n will remain asleep for a much longer time. Our potion will cut that time shorter and help the healing ability of Fawkes' tears to act stronger than the venom"

The three continued and finally finished the potion. They were able to make him drink the potion and his heart beat began to go at a normal rate and his breathing became much more stable
