Chapter 36

"Oh, it seems like our Xiao Mian- may I call you that?" I nodded quickly and he flashed me a blinding smile and continued. "As I was saying, our Xiao Mian seems to like me, don't you?"

"I do!" I couldn't help but say earning a pinch on my hand from Ming Chen.

I looked at his dark face and finally processed the situation. All the staff were smiling at me while Linjie laughed without care, pouring oil into the fire.

"Ming Chen..." I trailed off, grimacing as he smile that is not clearly a smile in my direction before looking at my male god.

"Da ge, I think I need to take my girlfriend before I do something else" he said lightly earning a cough from Linjie and the director.

I can only smile at my male god before I was taken away by Ming Chen, great.

It wasn't long before the staff's attention on me lessen since they still have to do their job. Actors and actresses lined up as the director shout out directions for them.

I think this particular scene needs everyone to participate unlike the other scenes. I look behind me and saw Linjie lounging in the shade of the tree before she waved her hands. I smiled in return and look at the scene.

They finally started to shoot and I was soon engrossed watching it. It felt like the place bloomed with so much flowers after seeing those fresh meats with their delicate makeup and gorgeous costumes.

Soon, it ended with just three takes, I saw Ming Chen about to go in my direction when the director called his name. I nodded at him in understanding and waited.

Then I was suddenly still, my breath getting labored as I thread my fingers together in nervousness.

Mo Qing Zhen Da Da is here, sitting beside me!

"Xiao Mian, so... how was it?"

"Good! Very good!" I almost sing praises till it reach the skies but managed to stop myself from doing it.

He smiled lightly before getting his seat closer to me until we're only five steps away. Oh gosh, I'm really, really lucky right now. I'm not cheating on Ming Chen like this right? But whatever, it's once in a blue moon, I couldn't pass this opportunity up!

He motioned his hand for me to come closer and I didn't object, still amazed at his presence.

"Ming Chen is a good guy, those women that you see in the tabloids, they only dated for fame or either for distraction nothing more. He never get serious with them, ever, but when he introduced you to us. I know you're the person he wants to grow older with"

His words were serious and even I couldn't help but blushed at his words. Ming Chen is a very peculiar person in my eyes when we were on high school, to say peculiar is a bit kind for him.

I of course knew of his past but I'm not holding it to him anymore. He's a changed man, over the course of months that I've been with him, all I see is his change.

His personality didn't change, his words are always vulgar but his promise are real. He accounts me for every decision he's facing, he wanted my confirmation before doing something major and most of all, when he promised me something, I can always be reassured that it'll happen.

"Thank you" I whispered to him and right after that, the person we're talking about appeared.

"Da ge, stay away from my girlfriend until she's my wife first"

I sat agape at his words, but it didn't anger me anymore, he's always like that. I smiled apologetically at my male god and was about to leave with Ming Chen when he called me.

"Do you mind adding me on your Weibo?"

"Yes!" I didn't even hesitate for a second before responding. Ming Chen was shrouded in deep jealousy but I didn't notice it since I was enthralled at my male god's presence.

Ah! A pie has truly fallen from the sky!

Notes:

• Love the house and its crow, it means that love encompasses everything connected with somebody: "Love me, love my dog"
• Dà gē, used to call a man not much older than you, it can mean that the person wants to be close to you or just wants to be respected.
• Dà jiě, used to call a woman not much older than you, also the same reason as  mentioned above.
• A CV is a Character Voice, or a voice actor/actress.
• Pie falling from the sky, means people are hoping for some kind of miracle to fall in their hands.

Hi people! First day at home while school starts is um... pretty much boring and tiring at the same time. Yep, I want the old days but hey, we're trying.
