Chapter 18: Shanna vs Gladius

Shanna's eyes narrowed. She had already expected this. "You guys know Law?"

Gladius chuckled. "Of course! Who do you think taught him how to use a gun? It was me!" He pointed to himself with his thumb. 

"Law....was he really part of you guys before?" Shanna asked.

Gladius clicked his tongue, veins growing more apparent on his forehead at the memory of Law. "That fucking bastard had the nerve to betray the young master! And to think the young master saved the heart seat for him all these years!" 

"The heart seat?" Shanna's brow twitched. The heart seat.....heart..... Heart Pirates. "Was that what it was? Well, doesn't matter anyways." Her two hands now encased in armament Haki, Shanna tapped the ground with her hammer. "Here I come!" 

Gladius' eyes widened the moment that red haired girl suddenly disappeared before him. Next thing he knows she's right in front of him. What speed- The hammer swings down at him! Gradius quickly jumps back, allowing the hammer to strike into the ground he was standing on. The ground rumbled, and the rocks cracked. The ground split into two, the crack running meters down below ground and tens of meters long. "Wha-!" 

The young adult's face lifted, her blue eyes glaring up at him with intense aura. Gladius' eyes widened at the intensity of her gaze. "Now I'm pissed!" Gladius shouted. The floor below her as well as the walls beside her were starting to inflate. Gladius placed his hand on the ground. "Pop rock.....Fest!" 

Shanna's eyes widened as she sensed the energy around her. The bubbles around them burst, sending strong shockwaves flying everywhere. Pieces of the earth and the pavement flying everywhere. The ground rumbled loudly, and screams echoed all over the place. Gladius emerged from the dust and smoke. He let out a loud huff. "She's dead." 

"Who's dead?"

"What!?" Gladius turned around, but before he could see the girl behind him he was immediately hammered to the ground. "NNARGH!" He cried. He tried to push himself up, but it was as if his muscles were made of jello. "My power... Why do I feel so weak?"

"Ah, did I forget to tell you?" Shanna chuckled as she stepped on his face. "My hammer is made of Seastone." 

"Hey! It's Gladius-sama! Who the hell is that?!" A few of Doflamingo's henchmen came running from down the hall. "Intruder!"

Shanna clicked her tongue. Looks like it's time for her to get out of here. I wonder if Luffy found Law yet, she thought. "Anyways, looks like I'll have to put you to sleep."

"What?" Gladius exclaimed. Shanna lifted her right leg. Gladius watched as her right foot turned black with haki. "No..." Shanna swung her foot down, landing in the back of Gladius' head. Gladius' body went limp. Shanna lifted her hammer from his body, and nudged him with her feet. Making sure there was no response, she nodded with a huff. 

"Gladius-sama!" the henchmen were getting closer. 

Shanna backed up. "Gotta scram!" She dashed off towards the direction Luffy and Viola went. She kept on going straight because she had no idea if they turned at some point. She arrived at a piece of broken wall. That must've been Luffy! Shanna's eyes lit up, and her lips turned into a smile. She ran out of the wall, and what she saw in front of her was just....a pool. Shanna looked to her left, then to her right. 

"Hold it right there!" 

"Tch! Whatever, hopefully this is the right way!" Shanna turned to the left and started running away. "Luffy! Law!!!" Shanna turned the corners around the building, and started running all around the palace, wondering where Luffy and Viola went. Why the fuck is this place so big?! She groaned as she came to a halt. No, this won't do. I can't just run around blindly like this. Shanna decided.
