Chapter 20. More than A Family

(Typos and Wrong Grammar)

"Clyde" I knocked on his door to wake him up.

He opened the door and looked at me irritatedly.

"Alam mo nakakasira ka ng umaga"

Nag peace sign ako at tinuro ang babaeng naka-upo sa couch. "Ate mo"

He got shocked and try to process the words he just heard. "My sister?" he said in a low tone voice.

Tumango ako at lumingon sa ate niya. He gave me the "give me a second" look at isinara ang pinto.

"Tulog pa ba siya?" Ate Cass asked.

"Gising na po, lalabas din po yun"
In less than a minute lumabas na si Clyde.

"What are you doing in here it's too early" nakabusangot niyang sabi.

"Well can't you see I'm visiting you because I miss my baby brother"

"Im not a baby, stop calling me that. I know you're here for something else"

I excused myself to them dahil hindi naman ako kasali sa usapan.

I saw Clyde standing and going back to his room. Nagtaka naman ako sa nangyayari.

"Can you help me?"

"Ano po bang maitutulong ko?"

"It's our mother's birthday tomorrow, at gusto kong nandoon si Clyde. Because I know my mother will be very happy if he will see Clyde in her birthday. My mother misses Clyde so much." she explained.

"Ano pong gagawin ko?"

"Ayaw pumunta ni Clyde and I want you to convince him, for me. Please. You are also invited, so please come"

"Please just try it, baka sakaling mapapayag mo siya"

After our conversation Clyde's sister bid her goodbye and left.

"You can't convince me" he said.

"Grabe toh wala pa nga akong sinasabi" I glared and pouted. "Pero hindi naman sa nanghihimasok ako ah, bakit ayaw mong pumunta sa birthday ng mama mo?"

"I don't want to see my father" he said directly to me. "We are not in good terms"

"Sorry, hindi ko alam ang buong kwento."

He sighed “When we see each other, we always quarel about some things." Umupo ako sa dulo ng kama to listen. "He doesn't support me in my chosen profession. He prefers to make me work in his company. That's why his disappointed in me" He looked away.

It's sad to know that there are some parents who doesn't want to support their child's chosen profession. But, I can't really judge  because I don't even know his father's reason why he disapproves Clyde's chosen profession after all it's his dream.

I opened both of my arms. He looked at me weirdly. "What are you doing?"

"Bigyan kita ng free hug ko" He smiled and shook his head, tila hindi makapaniwala sa ginawa ko. "Bilis na alam mo mahal tong hug ko"
