"our boss is back from vacation."

"okay... so?"

"and i forgot to feed the cat yesterday."

"again?"

"yeah."

"well does he know?"

"i think so. he tried calling me this morning."

"did you answer the call?"

"no."

"you're gonna be in more trouble if you don't come in."

"but what if he fires me?"

"luke. he already knows you do nothing so if he hasn't fired you again, then he won't now. unless his cat is dead."

"i don't know if his cat is dead."

"do you even know the cat's name?"

"no."

"did you even ask?"

"no. but i nicknamed him luke because i thought it was cute."

"of course."

"i'm scared."

"of what?"

"i don't want to be fired."

"like i said before, you won't."

"when i get fired, you have to buy me twenty tubs of ice cream, deal?"

"sure, but you're not going to get fired."
