[30] Jae-Ha, Dragon of the Skies

"Rue?"

"You are on this journey because this is exciting to you. You want to find a new adventure, explore the world as the Green Dragon."

He was quiet as she stated the facts.

"Amidst it all, where everyone looks at me with doubt and unknown concern, how do I fit in? Do I even fit in? Like a misplaced piece of a puzzle."

"You're not a misplaced piece, Rue, you're one of us, just on a different mindset than us. But, it's fine, maybe one day, we'll share the same goals."

Rue looked at Jae-Ha as she leaned her head on her knees, "Don't expect me to water down myself for others, Jae-Ha. Everyone can choke on my sharp edges."

"Wouldn't dream of it. Your sharp edges are what make you Rue." He chuckled.

"Say, Jae-Ha, can you answer me something honestly?" Rue stared at him and he nodded, "I'll try my best."

"As one of the dragons of the legends, you're supposed to be with Yona, the Crimson Dragon, and protect her at all times, right?"

"I don't follow the rules, M'lady." He chuckled and Rue gave her a look, "Fine, fine. I guess, that is my aim for now."

"Then, why do you keep chasing after me?"

"Huh?"

"Instead of Yona, you keep chasing after me. I've seen it. I'm not stupid. I don't understand why you would do something like that for someone like me." She sighed.

"Because -"

"Don't do that. I'll be greedy and I can't do that. It's not right for me," She narrowed her eyes, "-to take away what is her fate."

"You idiot. You just don't understand." His bangs covered part of his face and one eye as his eyes were hooded.

"Wha-"

Without letting her finish he pressed his lips against hers. Her eyes were slightly wide in surprise while Jae-ha closed his. He held her wrists with one hand while his other hand pulled her closer. She pulled back with a surprised yelp but he kissed her again, releasing her hands he held her waist. She gripped his back tightly as her eyes closed.

"Hnng." She whimpered.

He leaned back breathing heavily as he looked at her flushed face. Her pink cheeks and flustered face made him go crazy. He always thought how her lips would feel against his and now after tasting her lips: he craved more.

"That look on your face. It's driving me crazy, don't show it anyone except me." Jae-ha said in a whisper and leaned again.

"Jae-ha wai-"

He kissed her again. This time more deeply and passionately. His eyes were like a swirl of passion and his inner desire started to come over him. Jae-ha pulled away and let out heavy breathes as well did Rue. He moved the hair on her neck and planted his lips there causing Rue's grip on him to tighten as she gasped.

He pulled away and barely held himself back from kissing her again. Rue somehow regained her composure and pushed him away running away. Jae-ha leaned against the tree covering his flustered face.

His mind wandered to her flustered and red face and smiled. He sighed.

So you also have such a side to you, huh? M'lady you are going to drive me crazy.

Rue ran with all she had away from him. A blush coated her feature, her face still warm. Her heart was pounding violently in her chest as her mind was fuzzy.

What was I thinking?

She sat under the tree and leaned her back to it. She covered her face and let out a muffled squeal. She never expected Jae-ha to kiss her of all people and also on her neck. She unconsciously touched her lips and then her neck where he kissed her.

She put her arm over her eyes as she groaned softly.

What am I to do now? If Kiara were here then she would know exactly what to do.

She unconsciously smiled.

But the kiss wasn't bad.
