Merlin smiled sadly at the camp. Arthur has decided it was time to leave, Merlin certainly wasn't complaining but he sure was going to miss this place. He gathered his backpacks supplies as mordred walked up to him.

"Hello Merlin" Merlin smiled at him.

"Hey Mordred!" Mordred smiled sadly at him.

"I just wanted to say... I'm sorry" Merlin tilted his head at him.

"For what?" He asked leaning on his desk.

"That I cannot say. You will know soon enough." He looked sadly at Merlin before hugging him. "You are a great person Emrys. Truly the greatest"

Merlin smiled at him, ignoring the unclear mystical voodoo thrown his way and made his goodbyes.

A small tugging on his leg made Merlin look down to a small little boy. He kneeled down to look at him from the face.

"Please don't go emrys" he sad sadly, making Merlin smiled at him. Merlin touched the ground as a soft wave of life coursed through him. A small lizard emerged from the ground, it was green with a coursing golden light emerging through each limb. Merlin picked its stiff body gently before whispering words lost to the wind. The lizard opened its eyes as life came to him. The little boy let out a gasp as Merlin put the lizard on his head.

"Goodbyes are always followed with a next time. It's never the end" Merlin watched as the boy nodded, and hugged him. Then ran off to play with his new friend.

"Ready to go merlin?" Merlin looked up to see Arthur. He dusted himself off and nodded.

"There he is!" Merlin looked behind him to see a little girl with her gang of friends point to him and Arthur.

"Get him!" Another small child shouted out. Arthur went wide eyed.

"Not again! Merlin go!" Merlin looked at him confused until the expression was jerked off his face by a running Arthur. "Don't let them catch us!"

Merlin looked behind them to see the gang of small children carrying- is that a knife?

"Arthur explain!" Merlin called out.

"They've been attacking me all morning!" He panted pulling Arthur along.

"Why?"

"There convinced if they injure me that you'll stay!" Merlin started wheezing with laughter.

"Arthur are you running from this little kids because... your afraid of them?" Arthur scowled at him.

"Of course not!"

"Then why are we running"

"You are aware they also will injure you so you cannot go on correct?"

"Faster Arthur! Faster!" The villagers watched as the king of Camelot and the most powerful sorcerer to ever live run for there life's as a mob of small children chased after them.

"God your so slow Arthur! What do they feed you at those banquets"

"Are you calling me fat again!"

"I'm saying there's no need for 2 suppers Arthur" Arthur scowled at him.

"Not all of us are skinny bones Merlin"

"Prat"

"GET THEM!" Merlin jumped at how close the voices sounded. Picking up speed. The horses were only a few steps away, if they could just get on the-

"What's going on" Arthur stooped abruptly and Merlin Jammed into him falling on the ground. He looked up to once more see the old man staring at them. The younger kids shouted In joy before seeing there teacher looking disappointedly at them.
